It's nothing like that because nobody draws with their feet.
Also most tablets make it worse to do pixel art.
The analogy is in regard to quality of tools, not frequency of use. The reason people use their hands to draw is because everyone (well, virtually everyone) already has working hands at birth, so there's no reason to pick an inferior tool. By contrast, few people who aren't already into digital art have tablets. If drawing tablets were standard computer equipment like mice, and were as cheap and reliable as mice, drawing with a mouse would be about as common as drawing with your feet (or your non-dominant hand, or some other body part).
And no, I use a drawing tablet for pixel art because I find it more natural to work with (and this is coming from someone who spends more time with my hand on a mouse than around a pencil). I don't see how a tablet would make pixel art any more difficult, I suppose unless it has a really small drawing area or is defective in some way.
That's because you're used to drawing with a tablet. There's some insanely good mouse art out there that I would show but it's half 10 at night and I'm spleepy and not bothered.
No, it's because a tablet gives you objectively better precision and dexterity for many tasks, and because pressure sensitivity enables more natural and efficient work. For some art styles, like pixel art, it doesn't matter much, but pretending that a mouse and a tablet are equally good tools for drawing in general is just laughable. It's like saying "well, that's just because you're used to drawing with your hands. But there's some great artwork out there that people have drawn with their feet, too..."
That you can pick an arbitrary selection of Unicode characters and call them a font? I'm sorry that you're technologically illiterate and couldn't be bothered to read and learn about what Unicode is. It doesn't change reality, however.
Mm... can't say I've had a dream like that. Now one kind of dream I've had involves events that happen in the future.
Not to sound like an oracle or anything, but have you ever had moments where you're living a moment that you could have sworn you've seen before? I know I don't have future sight or anything, but it happens to me all the time.
If there is going to be any payment for work (the fact they don't mention it is telling) it's going to be the oft-used, ridiculous "You get a cut of the profits!" nonsense.
Distributing profits works just fine if the people working on the project
actually care about the project
are willing to field the loss if it flops
are competent, know what they're doing, and are capable of creating a profitable final product

Or you could, you know, shelve your nostalgia and listen to good music of the present.

Yeah, I agree. An artist won't be any better at drawing with a tablet than they are on paper.

Having a tablet won't make you Picasso, but going without one sure feels like sustaining severe brain damage...

No, they're just various unicode characters. Learn what a font is.

Seriously none of these are fonts. Step up your game, people.

How about you learn the fundamentals of realistic/observational drawing and develop or adapt a style from there.

Ubuntu fonts are hideous.
