Hey guys, it's been a busy weekend for me with classes and job interviews, so I haven't made anything new yet. If you missed it, though, I did start up a contest on Planet Minecraft - I got sick of seeing so many clones of Simon's Honeydew skin, so I started a contest for people to make DWARVES THAT ARE NOT HONEYDEW! If you want to compete, you will need an account on Planet Minecraft.
Anyway, time to get to what you guys have been suggesting...

Your image link didn't work, but I'm not even going to bother looking into it because the title has the word 'anime' in it and I don't do that kind of stuff.
May I suggest something from the upcoming dungeon crawler Diablo 3? It seemed like you were missing a more tribal like skin.
Of course, I understand if you find the second image or first one (mainly the second it may seem) are impossible to do because of their complexity. Well, thank you for your time. Very nice job by the way :smile.gif: .

Much to my own dissapointment, most users are yet incapable of even assembling a skin from pre-made parts. Even so, the green-wash over your image does not well show the actual skin object as it will appear in-game, which will only discourage further any downloads or use of your work.
1. Absolutely no Honeydew.
No part of the skins submitted may be copied in any way, shape, or form from the Yogcast skin. No parts at all may be copied from the Yogcast skin. You will be disqualified.
2. Skins must be new and made for this contest.
No copies, re-posts, or old skins will be accepted. Give us something new and fresh, please!
3. Submit something you made.
Sampling skins is not 'making' a skin. It is copying and applying minor edits. SkinCraft is not 'making' a skin. It is copying from a library of 'parts'. Take your time, start from scratch, and make something completely unique!
4. One entry per person.
Each user will only be permitted to submit one skin for this contest. This doesn't mean you can't make more, but I would suggest submitting only your best one, for obvious reasons.
5. The contest will run for one week.
Post dates must be made after today's date, Sept. 7th. The contest will end a week from today, on Wednesday, Sept. 14th. Skins submitted after the 14th will not be accepted.
In order to submit skins, you will have to be a member of Planet Minecraft. As a skinner, I highly recommend you make an account there - their gallery and upload features are the best out there as it is. If you want to compete, go make an account (if you don't already have one) and share your skins in the thread!
Why are the cow udders... on his side and back? It looks like you're not really sure how skins work. Perhaps you should use a template, or a program such as MCSkinEdit, to fix this up a bit.
She does some nice stuff; looks similar to your style!
Well, its shameful to see that female skins get thumbed down. Girls can be baddassess too :x

Meh. There's that, and then there's the fact that female skins are much harder to shade and shape appropriately. It's hard to represent curves on a flat surface, you know?

Mostly because there aren't many female minecrafters, it seems, and people don't really like them as much as the male ones. In fact, I've had some female skins thumbs-down'd a lot on the site I upload them on. It kinda discourages making more. I would recommend you seek out a user named Cadsuane for all your female skin needs - she has a very nice style as well and prefers female skins over male. You can find her gallery linked at the bottom of the first post in the thread. I think I saw her post here the other day, too.
Epic collection of Warhammer 40k skins you have here. Say, could you, by any chance, make an eldar skin? Say, that of a warlock (one looks decidedly badass here), or an avatar (the giant-living-god-made-of-magma)? Would be very epic indeed if you did.
Well that might be fun. I'll see what I can do. That's image is of a Farseer from Dawn of War, no? Of course, the headdress may prove difficult...
I have a suggestion for you: It's the best looking Black Templar I found I'd love if you could give it a try if/when you have the time.
I am afraid that such a skin would be impossible to replicate without using HD mods. HD skins can take several hours to create, based on source material. I would ask that you find something simpler, that can be produced with 8 pixels for chest and head width, and 4 pixels for the arms/legs. That's how skins are shaped, and that is what I work with.

Another fantastic skinner from PMC named Halucid made a video recording of his skin making method, you might be able to gain some inspiration from it.

Finished him. Sorry, I actually keep a separate to-do list on notepad in my skins folder and sometimes I forget to update the one in the thread.
I don't really do furry skins/animal skins.
I was asked that before, and the demon form proved impossible. I did him, but as he was before he became a demon prince.
