Really annoying bug with Optfine Multicore:

Don't know if its been mentioned before, but it annoys the hell out of me. Don't think I noticed it before using Optifine Standard.

Just wondering, the Optifine Multicore only uses up to 2 cores?
I have a Quad-Core processor, and want to get the most out of it (not that it really matters, my computer runs at 100+ FPS anyway :P)

How easy is this game going to get, really?
Not that I'm against this update, but I think it would be cool to see something to make survival harder in order to balance out all these features that make it way too easy (or at least it seems like it, in my opinion).

posted a message on FREE SERVER HOSTING
    I have 3 questions:

    1. Is this legit? Not a scam or anything, 100% for free?

    2. Can I just send you a server file with a world that has nothing on it? I prefer to do my building online, when the server is up.

    3. What are the specs of the computer that will be running the server? Ram, Internet speed, etc.

If this is real, you are amazing. If this is fake, I saw it coming.

Lol, never mind. I fixed it. Stupid me realizes that I have to extract the files to a folder first instead of running it straight from the .zip...

Well, I can't even get it to work at all. (I have 64 bit Windows, not sure if that has to do with anything.) So anyway, I try downloading the first file. I run the application called mcedit.exe. It opens up a CMD page, then closes right away. I try downloading the second file, and I don't even see a mcedit.exe application. I apoligize if this is a really stupid mistake on my part, or if this isnt enough info to solve my problem, but please help if you can!

Before Mojang adds more boss mobs, they should finish the Enderdragon fight. It's pretty boring and easy because it cant even damage you if you're wearing armor. Maybe fire breathing or shooting fireballs like ghasts and blazes please?

but anyway no support. I think it might make mobs waay to OP

Ok, maybe not all of these features should be added, but I still think Hard is too easy.

    Hard difficulty is easy?
What dimension do you come from.

I come from the dimension of being able to enchant diamond swords and becoming practically invincible.

This is an idea I've wanted to see for a while. It really sucks when you friend on a server, but then that server gets shut down or something and you never see that guy again. I'd love to see this be added because it would solve that problem.

posted a message on Harder Hard!
Ok, so in the latest snapshot, zombies break down doors on hard difficulty. Cool. "Hard" difficulty is still too easy. A few suggestions:

    - Mobs have more health per difficulty. For example, on "Easy", they have the same amount they have now, on "Normal", they have 4-5 more hearts, and on "Hard", they have 8-10 hearts more than they have on "Easy".
    - Mobs can see further on harder difficulties. For example, on "Easy", they would be able to see 16 blocks, on "Normal", they would be able to see you from 32 blocks away, and on "Hard", they would be able to see you from 64 blocks away.
    - Less knockback on harder difficulties. For example, on "Easy", they would have the same amount/a little bit more knockback than they have now, on "Normal", they would have slightly less than they have now, and on "Hard" they would have little (if any) knockback.
    - Mobs will rarely spawn wearing armor/using weapons. What I mean by this is in the newest snapshot, mobs have a chance of dropping rare items such as armor, tools, weapons, etc. Instead of just randomly dropping the items, mobs should rarely spawn using the items. So basically, you would be able to see zombies wearing chestplates (which would make them stronger, of course) and skeletons using enchanted bows occasionally. On harder difficulties, mobs would have a higher chance of spawning with these items, making them harder to fight on "Hard" and "Normal" but making their drops more rewarding. (Sorry if this part doesn't make sense, I wasn't sure how to explain it)
    - Better AI on harder difficulties. Mobs would be able to try to dodge attacks/projectiles and sneak up behind players. Also, on "Hard" difficulty, skeletons would be able to shoot through glass and break it, and spiders would try to get onto your roof and pounce on you when you leave for the morning.

That's all that I could think of. Do you think this is too overpowered? Please respond!

posted a message on Better/Easier to Use Redstone (and more...)
    Quote from CVGX

you lost me at the second sentence. if we can't connect redstone, then its pointless

You would still be able to connect redstone. You'd just have to right click it to change its shape.

    *facepalm*
Edit:( Laggy computer posted too early... )
Redstone torches inherently act as NOT gates, and redstone wiring already acts as an OR gate (a repeater makes it 1 way). Furthermore, were logic gates to be added, the NOT versions would probably just be a waste, since you can easily put a block with torch in front.

Yeah I guess... But the XOR gates would be a HUGE space saver.
    Quote from KittenAqua

I'd much rather have the few features added to this game be features that everyone would want. As much as I love redstone wiring and NOT gates and all that good stuff, most people don't. It's horribly complicated and strange. It doesn't even make much sense conceptually. I just feel that Mojang's time could be better spent on other features.

As for the actual suggestion, I disagree with the toggle shape thing completely. It just makes redstone wiring even more of a pain that it already is. And not only is floatng wire expensive, but it has almost no practical uses and it would look soooo horribly out of place. The logic gates are DEFINITELY something that I would absolutely LOVE to have. I've wanted things like those added to vanilla for so long. It is a 1 step process to making redstone both easier to learn and more compact. However, I don't like the right click for delay thing. Repeaters get the job of delay done just fine.

While we're on the topic, I'd also like redstone to transmit an instant signal instead of a delayed one.

If you didn't like the toggle redstone thingy, you could just turn it off in the options. Simple as that.

posted a message on Better/Easier to Use Redstone (and more...)
If any of you have tried to use redstone, you know how annoying it is. What I mean by this is that when you place two pieces of redstone together, they automatically connect to each other. What I think would be cool is in the options, you could turn on something like "Redstone Toggle". If this was on, then every time you right-clicked on redstone, it would toggle its shape no matter if redstone is adjacent to it. Redstone would only power blocks/wire that it is pointing to, and only take power from blocks that it is pointing to. If "Redstone Toggle" was off, redstone would behave like it usually does (except that already placed redstone would not change its shape).

    A few other ideas:

Floating wire. It would be crafted like this: (where | is an iron ingot and 0 is redstone)

    |0|
    |0|
    |0|

It would act just like normal redstone, but it would not have to be placed on a block.

    Also:

More logic gates like the redstone repeater. For example: NOT gates, AND gates, OR gates, XOR gates, XNOR gates, RS - NOR latch, etc...

Each one of these would have a toggleable delay like the repeater. However, instead of simply right - clicking to change the delay, if you right - clicked on one of them, it would bring up a GUI asking how much delay you wanted on the repeater (0 ticks [a.k.a. instant wire] to maybe 30 ticks).

Comment below if you like this idea!

I love this mod, really useful. One command I would like to see, however, is something like "freezeall". It would pause everything, but the player would still be able to move around. This would be really useful for redstone, as it would make debugging 20% easier.
