    The Silverfish vs tunnel ratting is exactly what I was commenting on with the 'lack of immagination' and 'pre-defined scripted' posts.

    Look. In Legendary, I had a working nether portal before leaving Humble Start. In the 'Caves of Confusion' I continued the start tunnel straight on through to the exit, avoiding any 'confusion'. Turns out they line up albeit about 15 levels different in height.

    In the Black Desert, before the TNT update I removed all the tnt in the spawn Sand Fort by removing the underlying sand and detonating them one by one. That fort remained my safe haven for the entire rest of the map.


    Most of the 'challenges' aren't really.
    Silverfish certainly aren't. They're just tedious annoyances. A cheap and easy way to attempt to discourage thinking outside the box. A penalty to being smart or innovative or lateral.

    600000 silverfish blocks within a five chunk radius of spawn. We're not talking about the odd little pocket of silverfish, there's more silverfish blocks than air blocks. I kid you not.

    And Silverfish are no challenge. It's not a challenge, it's a mindless grind.

    Or you could not turn honest stone into garbage mobs. Part of playing the maps is solving the problems you present by thinking outside the box. Being forced to play in a narrow predefined path is boring as hell and nothing but frustrating knowing there is a better way than just bending over while someone does you up the ....

    I'm not playing dumb maps. I'm not playing juvenile maps. Silverfish used as extensively as you have done in Kaizo 2.x is just indicative of a lack of imagination. It felt exactly like some sort of purile prank was being forced upon me, not an evening's entertainment of battling against adversity. Just a bloody stupid grind or assinine forced scripting of events.

    Within a five chunk radius of spawn there are over 600000 silverfish. I am not exaggerating. I stopped counting at that point and exited out an deleted Kaizo 2.x as a Vechs failure. The maps get played for the challenge of solving problems and overcoming adversity while being entertained. Silverfish and that many of them are not entertaining. It's something I would expect from some juvenile wannabe CTM map maker. There is no new strategy. It's nonsense. 600000 silverfish immediatly around the start is just stupid.

    Mr Vechs,

    With utmost respect, I'm afraid I must inform you that the addition of silverfish is not fun. Not that it's anything more than an annoyance. It introduces no new mechanic other than a tedious chore removing them. As doing so takes much more time than just disabling a spawner it's a boring chore. Not exciting, not fun. It took away from the experience. It's made it tedious to the point of making the map unplayable.

    I downloaded the new version expecting fun and excitement and got an easy first cavern which turned from enteraining me watching the silverfish 'lemming' into the lava for five minutes, to a chore before I abandoned the area. The wood pick allowed me to immediatly bridge over and up and out after looting the glowstone and the other chests. All of them.

    Please refain from making tedious maps. Silverfish are boring. And tedious.

    you have time. Demo at PAX. Then they plan to take the feedback and tweek, improve, and bugfix for a few weeks. Mid sept at the earliest.

    Wooden planks placed next to lava caught and set planks in the gate on fire. blocked the lava then and when the wood finished burning the gate lit up. It took me three tries with the planks.

    Damn you Vech. Just started legendary. Haven't left humble start yet. Spent a good hour making a portal in the lava lake the hard way only to be greeted by a bedrock cell in the nether. Damn you!

    The biometerrainsettings.ini included in the download zip initially are the vanilla settings. You already have them.

    The first post needs some work. It's supposed to 'sell' your mod to people who are unaware of it and yet there is nothing in the post explaining what the mod contains other than a single line about 'clock blocks'.

    Not everyone has the time to waste on a video that may or maynot tell me what I want to know. A nice list with a line or two explaining every item is a quick read and would greatly help with 'pitching' the mod.
