I think thats the step I missed. I know it sounds like a simple mistake but Ive only been at this for two days. I know where to find a server mod folder, but where could I find the client mod folder? Thanks for all the help though.
Right, then it creates the Eula text, you agree, and then the modded minecraftserver.jar appears. I can run the server just fine, every modded thing about the server works, up until an item or block is placed.
As far as I know. When I get the installer prompt, I hit install server instead of install client, (I'll attach an image in a second). The basic steps I go through here. I download the server pack off of twitch. As well as the modded version of the game. I launch the minecraftserver.jar file, then I launch the modded version of the game. I launch myself into the server, and everything appears to work until I put down any modded items. Whats weird is it works in singleplayer, so Im doing something wrong on the server side of things.

I thought maybe it was a clay soldiers specific problem, but I tried to set up the skyfactory modded server as well, just as a test, and I got the server runnning, but after I go to put down a modded block, it automatically disappears. Is there a step Im missing?
So my friend has had a childhood dream of both of us playing a clay soldiers server together. Since we both recently got the java edition, I decided to work on creating a modded server for both of us. I have the mod installed, and I am almost certain that I set up the modded server correctly. I downloaded the server edition, I'm port forwarding my ip for the server. I got it to properly launch, with the clay soldiers installed. When we open our inventory, the modded content is there, but when we go to place any modded items, it disappears and nothing happens. Ive looked, and I can't seem to find anyone with this issue. What can I do to make the modded items stay?
