    B4I Move Update
    v2.6.9

Alrighty, so I'm literally uploading this right before I go to bed. In the morning I'm getting up an leaving my home town. It'll probably take me a while to get settled in to my new city, so the next update might be a while. That's why I wanted to make sure I get this up before. It's a mix of some new stuff and some old stuff being fixed. Hope you like it!

Hey! I'm guessing you got the "This item might have been deleted, expired, or you might not have permission to view it. Contact the owner of this item for more information." error.

That's just some dumb stuff that's been happening with onedrive recently. I was just made aware of this today. You could try downloading with a different browser, or clear your browsers cache. Those things are supposed to work. I'm thinking I may have to find a new hosting site. haha.

I made a new downloading link to a new file which -should- help. Try downloading it again and let me know what happens.

    1.13 / 1.14 marathon Part 1
    v2.6.6

Wow. So I've been working to catch things up but also to fix a bunch of things that broke from the flattening. So this is a combination of new stuff and fixed old stuff. The next update will probably be similar. Another thing to note, a lot of the optifine stuff I created isn't working for some reason and I haven't had time to investigate. I'm focusing on fixing the stuff for vanilla first, but I do plan to tackle that sooner or later. So here's what I got for you so far!

    -Bamboo
    -Stripped Logs
    -Scaffolding
    -Composter
    -Sea Pickles
    -Trapdoors
    -Campfire
    -Lantern
    -Composter
    -Barrels
    -Tube Coral
    -Signs
    -Blue Ice
    -Hay
    -Gold Blocks

    -Fixed horses (holy hell)
    -Fixed Sugar Cane
-fixed random textures for planks, brick block, smooth stone slab, bookshelves, netherrack, netherbrick and a few other things I forget, man. There's so much to FIX.

    1.13/1.14 marathon part 2
    v2.6.7

So hey it looks like it might be at least another month or two before I can update again after this since I'm moving in like a week. The whole process is going to be insane so I wanted to get this one out there before I left. I'm thinking next update I'll start on some of the new monsters probably.

    So here it is:

    -tall seagrass
    -seagrass
    -kelp
    -dried kelp
    -dried kelp block
    -fixed maps
    -all coral
    cornflower
    -witherrose
    -lily of the valley
    -sweet berries
    -touched up old flowers

-fixed all the old optifine stuff so it should be working now.
-added a full ctm for glass blocks

hello, hello! i'm so happy to see you've posted not forever ago and that you hope to have another update coming (although not as soon as you hoped)! i'm excited to see it! love your work, thank you so much!

Hey! I'm glad you like it!
Yeah, I was on a trip so I couldn't work on it for basically all of December. Unfortunately, I'm fiddling around with a few jobs at the moment, so I may not get the update out until near the end of Jan. I'll try to get it out asap though.

    1. Yes, i only use pumpkin patch alone (i do that with all my packs)
    2. running from a zip
3 Yes i have downloaded and tested the latest version multiple times
    4 see above

I still don't really understand why this would be happening, as I haven't been able to recreate the problem myself. The only thing I can suggest at this point is to try running the pack from a folder instead of a .zip and see if that changes anything. Let me know if it does.

So I've been working on an update for the resource pack, hoping to get it done before the 7th, but it looks like that won't happen. I'm going to be going out of country for basically the rest of the month so next update most likely won't happen until January. I've got some good stuff planned for it though.

In the meantime, I hope you all have a good Decemberween!

IM having issues with your texture pack, its giving me missing texture for hardened clay, and when i try to harvest cane or netherwarts, my whole game starts freezing. these issues are not seen in any other texture pack i have tested, and I am using optifine.

I've only had a 2 other people have that same issue with terracotta. We could never find the cause, but both of them said the latest update fixed it for them, so I'm a little confused at this point. As for the sugarcane and netherwart problem, I'm even more confused. I'd be inclined to say it's a problem with the custom sugarcane model, but netherwart doesn't have a custom model.

    1. Are you using only the Pumpkin Patch pack when these issues happen, or do you have another pack active as well, like a sound pack or something?
    2. Are you running the pack from a .zip or do you extract it to a folder? I'd recommend using the .zip, as if you do the folder, you may accidentally merge updates, leaving old models and such still present, which may cause the problem.
    3. Are you downloading the latest version of the pack? Make sure you didn't accidentally download an older version.
    4. If all else fails, try completely deleting the Pumpkin Patch pack and re-downloading it fresh.

Let me know your results! I'd love to be able to find the cause of this in case it pops up in the future.

    "Shiny Time"

Well well well. We meet again. So I know I just released an update not super long ago and said something along the lines of "PAINTINGS AND MUSIC NEXT UPDATE", but I decided to not do that. Instead I revamped a bunch of old textures that I had begun to despise. Next update WILL have new music and paintings, so look forward to that I guess.

    - New emerald textures (all around) (animated)

    - New diamond textures (all around) (animated)

    - New weighted pressure plate textures

    - animated prismarine item textures

    - new redstone

    - new pumpkin pie

    - new quartz item

    - new red dye

    - new sugar

    - new Endcrystal

    - new enderpearl

    - new apple

    - new slime

    "BIG OL' 2017 HALLOWEEN UPDATE"

    Download

Alrighty then! So it's nearly spookytown funk day and I almost didn't get this done before going out of town, but ALMOST wasn't good enough. Cuz I did get it done. Finally finished all the major 1.12 nonsense and added some additional magic into the mix. With this, the amount of 'catching up with Mojang's random rainbow shenanigans' I have to play has dropped drastically, so I can finally focus on other things... like paintings and music. SO that's probably what the next update will consist of. I'll composing most of the new music myself! Until next then, have a kickass Halloween.

    - glazed terracotta

    - terracotta

    - llamas

    - llama blankets

    - parrots

    - several new paintings

    - end crystal

    - fixed button texture

    - new gold blocks! (and retouched gold items)

    - new gold apples

    - random texture for quartz ore

    - new optifine texture for iron bars

    - new song for the nether

You have an interesting use case for DNS resolution. Most people care about getting traffic to their server, rather than where they came from. It's a bit difficult to do this though, imo.

The only way I can think of is having your own DNS server log queries to your domain and check it every so often.

In nerd speak, you'll have to set up an authoritative DNS server for your domain and change your DNS registrar to point to that IP. That way during DNS resolution, your registrar will return the IP of the authoritative server i.e. 1.1.1.1. Then, whatever DNS server is configured for the system the Minecraft client is running on will ask 1.1.1.1 what's the IP of say, pmc.myserver.com. The authoritative server will finally respond with the IP address that's running Minecraft.

Then, you log that request query and then figure out the best way to pull and view the data.

    Hopefully that makes sense.

One of the best ways to figure out how to increase traffic is to understand where it comes from and where your efforts are bearing the most fruit. Your explanation goes mostly over my head tech speak wise, but you've given me enough lingo and a good outline to start figuring it out. Thanks!

What I has to wonder is what so difficult about "mirroring" everything on different sites? It literally only took me 15 minutes to "mirror" my new banner I found from a banner maker. "regular" updates only about 5 minutes or so.

In short as a "typical" owner you shouldn't has to worry about tracking like that. Now if you were high rolling in players and such then I could understand the need to expand to such monitoring.

I'm not sure I understand what you're talking about with mirroring or how it relates to what I was asking. Could you explain a bit more?

Also, I'm not really concerned with whether or not my server is "high rolling" enough to need to worry about it. I'm interested, so I'd like to know.

posted a message on Tracking where new players are coming from.

    Hey!

So I've been puzzling out different ways to see how new players find my server (PMC, minecraft forums, etc.) that way I'll know where to put the most effort into promotion, but I haven't had much luck.

The only way I can think of is to set up several different URLs (PMC.myserver.com, mcf.myserver.com, blah.myserver.com) and somehow track which URL a player uses to connect. The only problem is I don't know if that's possible either as they just redirect to my servers numeric IP.

Ultimately, I just want to know where players find out about my server. Does anybody know how to accomplish this?
