    Creative Blocks

A mod that enables creative building in survival (allows specified blocks to be placed/broken as if the player was in creative mode).

    Current features:

    • Config for whitelisting blocks as 'creative blocks' (see config/CreativeBlocks/default.json after running Minecraft once with the mod installed)
    • Whitelisted blocks do not get used up when placed (like in creative)
    • Whitelisted blocks do not drop anything when broken (like in creative)
    • Whitelisted blocks get broken in one hit (like in creative)

Note: The configs are synced from the server to all clients and can be reloaded at runtime using the command /creativeblocks reload

    AppleSkin

Adds some useful information about food/hunger to the HUD (see 'Screenshots' below). For those familiar with AppleCore, this is a standalone mod providing the HUD features previously included in that mod. Note that AppleSkin is mostly a client-side mod, but it needs to be on the server in order to display accurate saturation/exhaustion values on the client.

Note: AppleSkin provides information about some mechanics that are invisible by default (it does not add or change any mechanics). To read about Minecraft's exhaustion and saturation mechanics, see the Minecraft wiki article on Hunger

posted a message on The Spice of Life (encouraging dietary variety through diminishing returns)
    The Spice Of Life

A mod that encourages dietary variety through diminishing returns.

Makes it so that eating the same thing over and over will give you fewer and fewer hunger restored each time. Everything in this mod is entirely configurable (server-side), including the formula used to calculate the diminishing returns (see Configuration section below). Compatible with Hunger Overhaul.

Note: This mod is mostly intended to be used with other mods that add more food to the game.

The following only applies to the 1.6.4/1.7.2 versions, in 1.7.10, these features were moved to AppleCore:
Also adds useful client-side information in the form of tooltips that show the hunger/saturation of food (when holding Shift) and an overlay on the HUD that shows your current saturation value (will only update properly if the mod is installed on the server), how much hunger/saturation you'd gain from eating any food that you are holding, and your food exhaustion level (only works if the mod is installed on the server).

If the mod is not installed on the server, then dimishining returns will be disabled automatically. Server-side (or in a single player world), the 'food.modifier.enabled' config setting can be set to false to disable the diminishing returns part of the mod.

    FAQ

    Why?
In-game veganism is simply a playstyle that I prefer, in that I think survival games offer a unique way to explore vegan ethics that the real world doesn't provide. For example, attempting to adhere to veganism within Minecraft leads to weird/interesting questions like, "Is it really self-defense to kill a mob if I'm semi-responsible for mobs being able to spawn at all?". It can also encourage non-standard behavior like building a weapon that does the least amount of damage possible.

Do I have to play as a vegan if I install this?
No, this mod simply aims to allow veganism to be a viable option in Minecraft. If you don't choose to adhere to veganism while using this mod, it'll still do a few nice things for you:

    • Allows for alternate (hopefully interesting) methods of obtaining mob drops
    • Gives uses to various vanilla Minecraft blocks/items that didn't really have a use before (ferns, sunflowers, spruce wood, sandstone, etc)

Should I go vegan (in real life)?
    Probably.

Plus, there are many configuration options in the Waila modules configuration screen to tweak it to show exactly what you want it to.

Note: This mod is mostly intended for use with Tinkers' Construct, but the information is still applicable without it.
