To the people saying this mod is illegal: I recommend you read the minecraft EULA and tell me where it says anything about capes. I have read it and it does not. Until it is put in the EULA, it is perfectly OK to use and develop a mod like this.

The current version of forge for minecaft 1.8 has made it impossible to update my cape mod, so I will have to wait for later versions of minecraft forge.

Hello guys, this mod basicly allows you to have any cape you want. (Not HD Capes)
This is my first mod and I hope you will like it.

Usage:

When you have this mod installed you can either change the cape URL in your config, or you can go into your world and press C (By default).

If you press C something like this will pop up:


In this window you can simply put the url of the cape you desire. (URL must begin with either http:// or https:// and must end with .png)
If you are done typing or pasting the URL for your desired cape you can simply press "Set URL" and your cape will be updated.
Skins work the same way except that you need to press the V button (By default).

Installation:

Step 1:
Install Minecraft Forge. (Recommended version: 1.7.10-10.13.2.1258)

Step 2:
Go to your .minecraft/mods folder.

Step 3:
Put advcapes-X.jar in your mods folder.

Step 4:
Start game.

How to make a cape:

Download template here.

Edit template with paint (Or any image editing software).

Upload cape to website that supports .png URL's (http://imgur.com recommended)
