I'm sad that the Customized world type is not in the 1.13 snapshots. I'd rather have that than the Buffet world type. I hope they put it back in.

How about a sturdier boat crafted with the original boat and iron bars that doesn't break?

To be honest I prefer caving. I like to explore caves where danger may lurk around every corner. That to me is more fun than digging in straight lines most of the time. Though, if I am trying to find diamonds and can't seem to find them in caves, I give up and just start branch mining with 2x2 tunnels and around the surface of lava pools in the depths.
I hope Mojang adds more variation to the underground. More things such as underground generated structures (dungeons and mineshafts are cool, but I'd like more things) and underground biomes with different scenery and decorative blocks (possibly also useful ones) -

New stuff underwater is something I have been passionately wishing that they would add to Minecraft for quite some time. Oceans are boring and just in the way mostly, with the exception of the new temples. There should be new stuff definitely. New decorative blocks, such as corals and seaweed. New mobs, passive and hostile, such as ambient fish swimming around that you can catch and make an aquarium out of, and aggressive mobs such as sharks and perhaps a sea monster. I have been wanting to build cool things underwater for a long time and what has been stopping me was just the lack of things I could decorate it with.

I highly recommend 6408041108247085973 because it's got nice coral reefs surrounding it, even though you don't spawn there. Although where you do spawn is also quite nice as it has a desert village and temple nearby.
The seed 6001927231719828555 DOES technically spawn you on a Jungle island... but for some reason it's completely surrounded by icebergs. I don't recommend this one as much.

Thanks. All the syntax seems to have changed so it's like I have to learn everything all over again.

Hi. I haven't attempted map making since before the command block overhaul and I'm trying to learn everything again. So, what I'm trying to do here is make an item that despawns after 2 minutes instead of the normal 5. I used to know how to do this before.
/summon Item ~ ~1 ~ {Item:{Age:3600,id:"minecraft:diamond",Count:1b}} - this doesn't work. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

It's a snapshot, stuff is still broken and not the final version.

If cheats are off you can't

You haven't been following the 1.9 news have you?
Anyway, there's already a way to disable hostile mobs. It's called Peaceful Mode. It can be toggled off and on at a player's will. No support.

Minecraft is a sandbox game with no real rules and it is by no means competitive, therefore "cheating" isn't a valid description of any action you take in Minecraft or any modifications you make to Minecraft. (Except for in multiplayer). Fun is relative. Everyone has fun in different ways. Some like vanilla, some like a few mods, some like tons of mods. All are valid. When you call out other people for playing the game the way they want, it only makes you look like an arrogant elitist. In fact having mods is one of the many strengths of the PC as a gaming platform, and the main strength of the PC version of Minecraft over the console versions.
No, there is only one type of Minecraft. It's called Minecraft. If you add a million mods to it, if you design your own minigame and then play it with your friends, you are still playing Minecraft. Minecraft wasn't "meant" to be played a certain way over the exclusion of other ways. Being able to customize your experience is a strength of PC gaming and especially Minecraft, as it keeps people playing the game for years after they would have stopped. Posts like this just make you sound like an arrogant elitist.
