    I have the same problem. When I'm on Earth and on flat land, the game runs very smooth; but when I head to mountain ous areas or the Nether, it's like walking around in a strait jacket in slow sand. I've tried replacing the minecraft .jar in the bin file and even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game, but the problem just can't be fixed. Odd. And the last time I went into the Nether, which was a few days ago, it was running smoothly.

    I post a topic here asking for help, and I get none. None at all.

    Before I installed Zan's Mod 0.8.7, I was able to enter and explore the Nether without any lag. After installed the mod, I found that entering the Nether would make the game crash most of the time, so I replaced everything file with a clean .minecraft backup I had to remove the mod, and restored my save with TreasureChest. Now, although I can enter the Nether, it lags so much that it makes my spawn point-main base nether shortcut almost unusable. :sad.gif: When I get back to Earth, however, everything runs smoothly again.

    Anyone know what's causing this?
