I keep my laptop plugged in when I play games. No switchable graphics that I know of. I've been using the AC power brick that came with the laptop of a year now, and it's fine.

I use CCleaner and Auslogics Disk Defrag once a week. Shutting down background programs did not improve performance. Yes it's 64-bit Java, and I'm using a .bat file I got online to give Minecraft more memory, no significant improvement there.

The problem began when I played another game, Mass Effect 3. It ran smoothly for the few months I played it, then the next day when I fired it up again, it ran much, much slower than before. In fact, from that day forward, every game I play runs much much slower.

I was hoping I could fix this problem without reformatting, but from what you say, I suppose not even reformatting will fix the problem. I have to buy a completely new computer just to play Minecraft smoothly. Goddamn.

All of my games, including Minecraft, haven't been running as well as they should be. I used to be able to get over 100 fps with Optifine, now I can only hit 30 fps at most. Some of my more graphics intensive games aren't running like they used to, either.

I'm using a Samsung Q430 Laptop, with an Nvidia Geforce GT330M. CPU is dual i5 cores, clocking at 2.67Ghz. Nothing is overclocked.

This game wasn't made by Mojang. This game was made by Oxeye. Mojang only did the publishing. It's right there on the article.

All complaints of "omfg dey wrkin on nother gaem no more care 4 miencart durhur" is bull.

/v/ can occasionally produce some good lolz too, but I wouldn't call it the ideal community. They were the guys who DDOS'd the Minecraft servers because they didn't get enough updates, after all.
