    Personality: Explosive at times, but mostly plain lollygagger
    Goals: Deal with his guilt, find his original docs, avenge fallen comrades.
    Fears: Afraid of a liquid which supports his brain gonna go stale.
    Likes/Dislikes (AT LEAST 2 of each) : L: Peaceful solutions (negotiations may apply), Mind over matter. DL: Idiocity, completely unpredictable events.

    Character Appearance: Black hair, dark glasses, hastily made breathing mask, black leather jacket, jeans.


    Back Story (You may not involve yourself with a Faction, or start with any items or perks) :
    Call-sign Hellfog, unit number 13, one of the squad of genetically and electronically advanced solders named hell-squad (you can call him cauldron-born human with little to none natural flesh (most of the flesh is a close-to-natural synthetic polymer which is somewhat equal to subdermal implant resistance, but still cannot provide a decent armor) except skin advanced with metal strings, inside of skull he has a fully functioning human brain (with some chips)).

    Was created in secret labs along with first batch of Hell time before war, trained in 98% realistic simulators to hunt down, kill, crush and destroy everything he want to. However he wasn't fully activated and used with hell-squad on battlefields.


    Brief story of hellsquad.
    Hellsquad idea was created by <redacted> in 2053 as replacement to (quote) "not fully emotionally charged robots which can't decide complex questions on battlefield, meaning can't live after war as agents". 10 years of full development and success. This program was basically finalized before goverment decided to shut it down.

    However <redacted> were eager to prove Hellsquad, organizing a kidnapping of <redacted>, head of Military Electronic Warfare Operations with use of First 12 hellsquad units.
    The downfall of that operation were, that goverment though it were a bulk of secret chineese android, and in fears that they might get a key information from <redacted> ordered full extermination of him, his captivators, and anyone else who were in building at the time. In the end hellfog is the only remaining of its kind. Human by nature, war machine by calling.


    Hellfog reactivated 5 years ago after a large fluctuation in remaining reactor batteries rebooted circutry on main tank computer.
    Wandered around for 3 years, charging himself, hunting on mutated animals (bio-processor which powers human flesh and electrical circuits) until he found a small settlment, south of Washington DC and decided to stick around, tired of constant movement.

    There, under the created legend that 'he got hit into the head with a huge boulder, can't remember a thing', he lived among locals, helping where he can, slowly earning small fortune along the way.
    Six months later said settlment got raided by a large band of bandits, which enslaved or murdered most of the settlers. Hellfog fought as he could, but just one unit, even as skilled as he was, weren't able to surpass 3 dozens of armed scum.


    Nearly destroyed, he crawled into the neared bunker and were picked up by a brotherhood of steel, where, they (quiet surprisingly actually) decided to repair him. After telling them the whole story, they decided to threat him like a solder, rather than like an equipment. At least for awhile life were simplier. An organized order of things within brotherhood gave Smoke enough time to re-evaluate and re-iterate his past decisions.

    Excerpt from diary:
    -Not all is lost, especially when you have your place in order of things. I still wonder if i can find more info about myself. Granted i do have a basic repairs knowlede, even that one got hit by signal-to-noise degradation. I need to find out how to build more of...of me.

    Later that evening he approached local BoS commander, asking for a intelligence and research mission in his bunker. Formalities have been greenlit, and small dispatch of solders, including hellfog, were sent to the old bunker where hellfog crawled out of.

    At the place of the bunker they discovered an enclave research output and a firefight insued. After overwhelming disadvantage a major from dispatch were captured and interrogated, hellfog however were able to get away and get back to BoS bunker to warn them about Enclave forces.

    if you can guess what happened next, congrats, i am a very predictable writer. Yes BoS bunker got eviscirated, alongside all inhabitants.
    Hellfog, feeling that it has been his fault run away as distant as possible, in hopes of finding a new home, away from enclave, and his guilt. But guilt followed him, and follows him to this day.


    A new chapter is on the horizon, what will it bring?


    Respond to the Situation:
    You're traipsing through the ruins of what was once a small town. Noticing an old sign marking one of the buildings as a firearms shop, you creep your way inside. After half an hour of moving around rubble and breaking open boxes, you've managed to find a rifle chambered in .308, still in decent condition. Additionally, you've managed to scrounge up atleast twenty rounds for use with it. Before you leave the ruin of a building, you hear the loud banter of a small group. You peer out a window, an old cabinet and a fallen beam providing cover for you. They seem to be dressed for combat, wearing tattered armor, and brandishing automatic weapons. You watch them for a short while, and notice one has a necklace of ears around his neck, labeling the entire group as dangerous.
    What do you do?

    Analyze situation, look for weak structures to offset, look for cover. Create a distraction (throw a rock behind one of the structures, prefferably one which can stun off one of the group members. Let him get stunned, pick up his weapon and check pockets for ammo. create a diversion. Take a raised position somewhere behind cover, ask them what they want.
    Variants:
    Enemies (hardened bandits, rabbid followers of apocalypse etc.) Negotiate safe passage, or failing that start shooting them. Lifted position should provide good enough vantage point to take out at least 2 of them. Deal with the rest by the situation.
    Neutrals - negotiate, ask for directions, ask if they need any help, apologize for stunned member, give the weapon back.
    Friendlies (desert rangers(?), local lawmakers, caravans) ask to stick with them until nearby settlement + all from the neutrals category.

    Ears around neck could be either local customs or just a trophy picked up from a killed savage - you never know.


    TL;DR for modder- he is NOT an android. Yes his synthetic flesh doesn't have developed nerves, meaning he has a higher pain tolerance. Yes his digetive system, lungs, and heart are lacking, replaced by a bio processor. However - the brain is fully human (with a small analytics implant to help him guide his shots). It is basically a cyborg (think robocop but without hull armor). (if that's still too much just write in that his advanced body is degraded over time turning him into a human by vulnerabilities). So its mostly a curse rather than blessing. Bio processor got degraded over time, meaning that it needs more carbon-based food.

    Occupation: Crossbowdwarf(bowdwarf if no crossbow mod)/Craftsman
    Appearance: He is medium sized, with sturdy body frame, very long dark-orange/light brown beard and hair, short creature fond of drink and industry.



    Personality: Content, calm when not disturbed, but easy to anger. Loves a good story, and a joke. Punches everyone who's not tolerant towards dwarves till they will tolerate em.
    Background Story:
    Born in one the dwarf fortresses of Akzak Venomshields, Valtar, like many others of his fortress had an okay childhood, occasionally helping his father in blacksmith duties.
    At age of 16 he was recruited into crossbowdwarf squad and spent next 10 years on split job - half of the year he was partaking in various shooting-related duties - hunting for provisions, partaking in nightwatch duties, occasionally fighting invasions, another half of the year he was serving as a blacksmith.
    At age of 26 fortress was torn apart by portal breakout and dozens of hellish creatures overrun fortress, refuges fled in all directions to seek fortune in the world.

    First year since the fall of Akzak, Valtar joined up with refugee group "leather cloak and pickaxe" and rushed to nearby dwarven fortress to recruit adventurers and try taking fortress back. Several months later, after spending most of his earned forture he assembled a small squad of hardass dwarven killers and decided to try his luck.
    Sadly, when they arrived to location Akzak mostly crumbled into the dust, with slimes and golems roaming surroundings. Valtar did not gave up, and instead ordered massive scavenging operation. After that, every warrior in his squad had enough money to buy half of the small town, but that wasn't what Valtar were after.
    The portal on the bottom of Akzak were ready to be opened once again, and after having a "are you crazy?" argument with his troop, he took only ones who were crazy enough, re-activated the portal and step through it...

    On the other end he discovered sad truth - revenge he was after were already committed - remnants of Akzak nightwatch actually managed to close portal off from the other side, but nobody brought any matches with them to re-open it. Small wing of nightwatch assembled a sealed-off fortress around other end of the portal and planted mushrooms.
    The fascinating thing were that hell mutated them - they became firedwarves. But thankfully didn't lost their minds to abyss, and thanked Valtar for final rescue.

    "Dissappointment, after dissappointment fellas. I tell you, i want to retake Akzak, i come to ruins, i want to have my revenge - it already been done. What in a name of Amrok even...."
    "Well, at least you came to rescue us. Frankly - we were getting sick of eating these blasted mushrooms, i haven't had a good wine in a year."
    "Ech, you're welcome. Say, you still called nightwatch? i don't see much night in here"
    "Ah no, we renamed ourselves - now - we are hellwatch."
    "Heh. Fascinating story, mate."

    After all said and done Valtar had money, but didn't had a place to settle. So he decided to roam the world.
    3 years since, Valtar still roaming the world, seeking adventures, fortune and glory. Ask him about his adventures if you meet him - he's quiet a story teller.

    Use this, replace spoutcraft-launcher.jar with .exe of minecraft launcher. Set xmx to be 1/2 or more of your ram (depending if you want other apps work well), also set parallelGCThreads to equal total number of cores on your PC.
    If something goes wrong remove -XX:+UseBiasedLocking -XX:+TieredCompilation, and if you'll have troubles and graphical artifacts try replacing noddraw=false d3d=true opengl=false to switch onto direct 3d rendering.
    There, saved you 5 hours of looking through java docs.

    Like what? Titans and forgotten beasts will be using randomly picked parts to represent them
    (4 body types - taur, blob, ant-like 6 legged, mammal, 6 head/mouth types - bug grapples, gas spreader, mammal face..3 more to think through*makes mark in todo list*, various leg types and overall different attacks. (web spit, poisonous bite, ravaging strike etc).)

    Um....i don't think so. You see - it will be somewhat mix between fortress mode and adventurer mode. Mostly because this is a pain to make df-like npcs at the moment. I'll see what i can do, but i don't think there be such feature in initial release.

    Bronze ore?.....*facepalm*...what an uneducated fella.
    Bronze - is an alloy and does not happens naturally. To create it you need to smelt tetrahedrite (to example) ore and casserite ore (copper and tin in smelted forms also can be used) in right proportions.
