I agree with him, even if you have a reasonable reason for uploading it.
If there policy is unchanged maps and seed maps aren't allowed then it has to be followed 100%. A rule is a rule, they can't bend it due to extenuating circumstances.
Gargamel was an amazing seed though, I made an amazing house in that first valley. (damn save got corrupted cause a update went funny due to a mod item not deleting from chest)
- and MinecraftForum.net has no such rule about posting seed maps (HINT HINT).

Now, this map starts you off in the original spawn point only ten seconds into the game. This is for all the people who still want to play the map. Now, on to my second point. I am sure most people know of planet minecraft, right? Well, I just posted this map download to their website, and less then 20 minutes later a moderator deleted it. Here is what he said "Removed submission. Reason: Unoriginal
Seed only projects are not allowed to be posted, even if its from a older game version."
Now, my question is, do you agree with him? Even if it is the only way for most people to get a map made using the seed gargamel? I personally don't agree, but what can i do?

Sorry if it looks like i am spamming both of your threads. i am just trying to help so you wont have to reply to some of the obvious question you see and such. i have some errors as well but i believe it got hidden somewhere in the pages of your original thread but i think 2.2 fixed it so it doesn't matter.me myself tried making buildings to help you but got confused in huge parts of it.

The villages should eventually be able to have a lord and lady. This would create little mini countries in the game. The villagers could then go to war, or trade with other villages. Also, why not add a miner, and then a blacksmith who turns resources into tools for the villagers, and to trade with the player.

Info about Yourself (real life and minecraft): I have been a moderator for this sever before. I enjoy large projects, although they are not always 100% finished. In real life, I just finished second year Latin(not sure if the theme of the server is still Greek, if it isn't i would not have put this here). I have taken numerous computer engineering courses at my high school. I am a FSgt in the Royal Canadian Air Cadets, at which i help instruct classes and run drill classes every Wednesday night. I would like to apply to be a moderator.
Why do you think you would be a great member?: I think i would be a great member because i have previous experience as a moderator on this server, and i enjoy this server so much i have donated money to it in the past. Not that that helps us now, does it.
Strong Points (architecture, art, social activity): I have taken a architecture course, but it was not very advanced. I do not tolerate people fooling around in ways that hurt others, or in this case the server. I believe that being in cadets has taught me how to discipline people when they misbehave, and has taught me respect and to follow through with my commitments. I will be very dedicated to the server. I am also learning to programming, have made some basic games, and taught myself how to use the more advanced functions of one programming language my teacher at school uses. He actually wants us to use floppies and Q basic.
Weak Points (making friends, programming, being dedicated): I do have some problems with getting sidetracked when making large projects in minecraft, but i hope to improve on that.
Other Info / Pictures of your Work: Will most likely not be able to get on on Wednesday nights, as i have cadets.
No pics as of now, as i recently downloaded some mods, and had to start all new worlds.
