posted a message on Help me to find a mod of which I forgot the name

SORRY FOR POSTING THREE THREADS. The forum gave me a timed out message not telling me that the thread was actually created.

MODS: please keep this one and delete the other ones

    Hey,

I remember stumbling on a mod that tried to add a compatibility layer to allow one to run old mods (something between mc 1.2 to 1.5). It was highly WIP and did not really work. I assume it also did not survive to the current day. So I by no way expect it to work even today. I just loved the programming aspect and spirit of it and would like to find that thread again. I think it was made for something between forge 1.7 and 1.10. Not sure either if it modelled the modloader api or forge.

If I recall correctly they used one out of the following mods for testing: redpower 2, industrial craft or buildcraft

Please help me find it. I tried googling and searching this forum for over 1 hour now without success. I am usually quite proficient in getting Google to find what I want, but this time I just do not come up with the right keywords.

    - sirati

    ps:

so the forum gave me a timeout the first time I tried posting this thread. I thought I lost what I typed and so I retyped. My original text is this:

    Hey,

I while ago (dunno how long ago) I found a mod here that tried to add a compatibility layer to modern forge to make old mods playable. At the time this way highly unstable and I do not expect this to be working now either. Probably was discontinued. Anyhow, I just want to find that mod/thread again.

I remember it allowing the following

    - play old modloader mods

    OR

    - play old forge mods

it supported some version between mc 1.2 and 1.5 for mods and was for something between 1.7 to 1.10

that's all I remember folks and I googled and forum searched for 1 hour without success now. Hope some guy reading this can recall something that helps finding it.

I'm pretty sure that 3 outputs is the limit in AE2 itself.

Its not about that. The new UI does not allow you to return more than 1 item of an unstackable item. It however worked in ae1.

    Quote from SilentStorm»

just do a single one? AE will do multiples of them if required anyway so you can just do the recipe for one and it'll be all fine.

There are some machines which are very slow. To increase the auto crafting process speed I usually build a block of 4 machines. I tried to connect them individually, but ae2 uses them very inefficiently. So I need to split up the items in another way. I use the robin round method and therefore need to supply all materials as if i want to craft 4 items.

Well, I am now using Forestry Cans, which are stackable. :D

    Hey,

I have a processing pattern that produces more than 3 non stackable items. I would love to see you add a block that can produce these pattern.

I'm currently rewriting AmbientSounds from scratch and the new version will change everything. The whole system will be loaded from a json file which can be replaced by a resourcepack. So you will be able to configure everything one your own. Unfortunately it takes a lot longer than i expected, but it will also allow you to change the volume of crickets, birds etc. separately. I hope you can stay patient, maybe i can release a pre-release the next days.

Very cool! If possible you could also make it compatible with SoundPhysics. These mods work totally fine together in the current state, but you could make use of its engine.

posted a message on OresPlus 0.7.3.41B - Minecraft ore & resource management

I think it is awesome that you created a mod that generates ores even in your existing world.

As there are people who add mods later on it would be awesome to have a mod that deletes all the ores from a world and regenerates them with the generator of all the currently installed mods.

I replaced the sounds. Still I would think that many people would dislike to hear 24/7 a chirping sound
