The problems is though, that I cant populate these chunks because they are not attached to a world instance. In the overworld this isnt a problem because I copied it, but in other dims rainbow goo cant restore trees and such. It actually erases them, so you get you tree eating goo too!
A glorious goo but with a slight downside, good show ol' chap
I personally LOVE simple packs, and most of my packs are them, but not ones this basic. At least add some shading.
Yea, I thought about and when I get a chance I'm going to use the current textures as a colour base and add some shading. Also it's nice to see people who are understanding and not just comeplety flip and flame all day (just in general, not specifically this)

NO! I am SICK of bucket fill ultra simple packs, they are not creative and take little effort.
Textures don't have to be full out-every pixel different-creative to look nice and yes, it doesn't take as much effort as HD texturepacks or whatever yours are but it does take some. the point is for them to look nice. I don't care if people hate on it because it's a 'simple pack' because people have different tastes and not everyone is going to like it but some people like this kind.
This looks exactly like FvDisco's oCd pack, with a few modifications...
it's hard to make 'new' textures with this style of texture pack so it will most definately look similiar to others but I did create all of the textures myself
On another note, I'm finding some slight errors here and there but I'm fixing them and updating the download as I find them so if something isn't textured properly chances are I have fixed it already, if not post here and I will get to work
Back in 1.2 I used the oCd pack by FVdisco because I liked the smooth style but I decided it wasn't good enough and started work on this! I work on it in my spare time and now, I finally got it up to date. After some tweaks (most likely not the last) I decided it was time to put this onto the minecraft forums so here I am!
Traits:
Most of the raw materials have semi-realistic colours
The colours don't change! each material almost always has the same colour
Various patterns throughout the pack
With the aid of optifine or mcpatcher you can use these custom colour files
Goo dimension made me think of this but is a seperate feature, Goo-Mutation: two different devices (or different modes), similiar features. one to strengthen, one to weaken. These devices will shrink you down to fit inside the labyrinth of which is inside the goos. Inside these goos labyrinths there will be a challenge different for each type of goo (I don't know what though). if succeeded the desired mutation will take place and further goos grown by that one will have the mutation but slowly weaken(sped up by 'healthy' goos nearby). if you do better the mutation will weaken more slowly, even get stronger if you do it good enough. the shrinkage only lasts a little while so if you do not complete the mutation in time or you make a strong error you will start growing again, pop out of the goo and take damage (a chance of getting poisened for a short while).
this could be helpful for killing experiments gone or even the great destroyer or to create a powerful goo-strosity
and that is my idea, people can feel free to expand on this
Sorry for re-posting this but I didn't think it was read as it is on the bottom of the last page (which sometimes causes posts to go unnoticed) and nobody mentioned it, sorry if you guys did see it already

I think some people might miss v1 so maybe if you still have the files you could keep both v1 and v2 up to date so people can choose
