I also use this. This will allow you to set the server ip (which you can use to forward the ip to your hamachi ip) and change how much RAM you want to dedicate to the server.
When i run the server, it said "done!" like it should. I can join the serer but none of my friends, who are on my hamatchi server, can join. Only i can join. I have a hypotheses on why this could be, when loading, before saying "Done!" it said "[WARNING] **** NOT ENOUGH RAM!
[WARNING] To start the server with more ram, launch it as "java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar "
But i do not understand what it means by that. If someone could help me on this, that would be great.
Was wondering if you are on a mac. If you are, open up terminal. Inside terminal type in "java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar " and then find your minecraft_server.jar. make sure you put a space after the "java -Xmx1024M...." thing and then drag and drop your minecraft_server.jar into the terminal window. It should give the path to minecraft_server.jar.
Because thats where it is located. That should fix your RAM problem. As far as hamachi goes, why not just port forward your router and link them to your ip? I also find that a lot of times you dont even need to port forward. If you need any clarification you can ask. Hope this helps!
Try re-downloading Minecraft so its fresh, no mods. Test.
Try putting windows 7 into compatibility (right click on minecraft > properties > compatibility tab > Put it into windows xp sp3, with administrator access.) Test.
Try redownloading Java. I noticed with the 64-bit operating system, I've had problems with java not installing correctly.
Update drivers, go to the cards webpage, and find your driver and upated it. Good luck!
Look into zombe's modpack. Not sure the url but you can find it here in the modding forum. It lets you fly, quick build and destroy, quick access to any blocks you want. It's pretty good. I use it for the flying, but he is constantly adding features to it. It requires you to edit your minecraft.jar file though. Hope you know how to do that! Good luck!

So for me I would type:
"java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar /Users/simplyodd24/Documents/MinecraftServerSettings/server/minecraft_server.jar"
if the server is on your desktop, like most people have it... it would be
"java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar /Users/simplyodd24/Desktop/minecraft_server.jar"
