I get about 4 hours of sleep. I work close to 35-40 hours a week (at a cruddy grocery store). Have 12 credit hours of class I'm taking (which doesn't seem bad...), which would include Java Programming, Discrete Mathematics, and German IV (Yep, now its bad). Not to mention coding for java, depending on the program, can take close to 30 hours a week to program, if not more. Then there is studying for my Discrete Mathematics class and doing homework.
Not to mention, I have a girlfriend who requires at least a bit of my time. I am also a part of ACM in my university and am a graphic lead in a couple of the SIGs. I basically have no time whatsoever. When I'm not at work, clubs, volunteering (oh did i mention i play guitar, piano, and sometimes violin at the local nursing homes for the alzechimers unit?), doing homework... I'm probably studying, worrying about next semester, how to keep my GF happy, and figuring out other issues and problems. I also have to fit food in there somewhere... lol
(every once in awhile, I say screw homework and play 20 minutes of minecraft. haha.)
We all had ideas on where minecraft was going to go. At the end of the day though, minecraft really hasn't changed at all. I start in a brand new world with the options to start with structures and villagers or not. I start off the game by punching some trees, just getting enough wood to make a wooden pickaxe.
I mine up some stone, realize that I am slowly getting hungry and kill some nearby pigs and cows. Eat it raw, and continue mining till I find some coal. Move on to finding iron, then gold, redstone, lapis, and diamond. I hide in some hole while I wait for night to pass by. Open it up when the morning sun rises. And I continue trying to get enough materials to get a basic home. Once that's established, I look for permanent residence.
I mine, I craft, I build glorious structures. I explore the unknown. I go spelunking, and if I'm lucky (or unlucky) I find a dungeon. I battle the infinite hoard of monsters and get my small surprise! A small record, happens to be my favorite and is labeled "Far". I'm feeling considerable lucky, I take my diamond pick and mine up some obsidian. I build a portal, a portal to hell. A place of fire and lava, and I mine what it has. I take the netherack for an infinite fire source, the glowstone for lights and potions, and explore the nether fortress battling wither skeletons and blazes looking for that obscure plant called netherwart.
Minecraft hasn't changed, its added features to the game that require you to play longer, battle more, and do more. You have gotten so good, that you have felt that the game has changed. You have techniques that are unique to just you. A certain way of playing this game, certain ways of mining that you feel is the most efficient that you apply to every new world you create. The game itself is the same as its always been. Mine the goodies, avoid the baddies, and do what you love to do. Explore. Build. Fight. Conquer.
I suggest taking a break, as you said you would. Play some other games, beat some other games. You will get that itch to play a game that never ends. That keeps going, and going, and going. That keeps getting richer with features. And realize that all you have to do is download a 30mb game, that will keep you entertained for hours on end.
I have been playing since the creation of the game, I have taken small and large breaks. And yet I always have the itch. To play one game. To mine. To craft. To explore. To spelunk. To battle. and there is only one game that quenches that calling. You will be gone, but I will welcome you back to the game with welcoming arms when you decide to play the neverending game of Minecraft.
I mean, when 1.3 turned into 1.3.1 i could understand because it was soooooo buggy- but 1.4? Almost all the bugs and glitches (and cheats) were fixed in the snapshots! I'm sorry, I love Minecraft but this is just ridiculous. I will still be updating of course but i'm just worried every update will end in .1! Does this mean there will be another useless 1.3.2 style update - 1.4.2? I honestly hope to god that the answer is no. Please respond with your opinion.
The only reason they have that .1 or .2 is because there was a bug that was missed that is slightly damaging to the game. Its a big enough update to make a difference and so they release the game as 1.x.1 or 1.x.2 to show there was a difference between the two version. These patches happen in most/ if not all newer video games. Just check the update log for any game. In all honesty it really shouldnt matter. Just be happy that the game is getting updated =]
I've seen this issue mentioned before, but still haven't found an answer ... whenever I try to use Redpower outside of Tekkit/Technic Pack, I get an error about item ID 768 already being used ... and when I check the config file, it does indeed give several items the ID 768. However, changing these values makes it work the next time I load up the game, but then the config file gets reset and I have to re-do it every time. Also, trying to craft a diamond or iron saw gives me a single stone wafer ... WTF?!
I tried using the NEI plugin, and it didn't fix it.
I'm using the Core, Wiring, and Logic parts of the mod, though I've encountered the same problem when using all components together. What component are Microblocks part of?
How many mods did you have installed? I know when I had 80+ mods, i had that issue. I had to go in and manually change all of the 768 ids to something that wasn't in use. It ended up working, but you have to make sure no other mods are using those item ids (which can be a real pain).
I also found that auto-enabling the changing of item ids is what was causing the issue for me. I don't know if it couldn't detect any open item ids and got confused or what, but every time I turned that on, most of the item ids changed to 768.
I'm not too sure about having a nickname, might be something you need to contact a moderator or admin about. You might have to request a username change. Good luck.
(Also, for English being your second language, its pretty good. Better than a lot of those who speak it natively.)

It thinks I don't own BL2, like it says "buy now blah blah".. Is there a way I can sync my installed BL2 to steam as a "none steam game" so I can atleast play it?
Thanks for the help and any feedback in advance though!
EDIT: and I did contact steam like 4 days ago.. That's what I posted in the black in the original post but they obviously aren't helping so you guys are pretty much it..
Tried that before too, and I only have the following folders:
Looked in some of them and saw no launcher unfortunately..

Sorry you are having so much trouble. Hopefully they will get back to you! I've heard of that happening before, you still have the email receipt they sent to you just in case? (And I thought you were very clear in your OP, most people tend to skim and not read and assume they know what they are talking about which is rather annoying imo)
Okay, I'm going to assume, that basically its not in your Library of Games. Meaning that Steam basically thinks that you do not own that game.
If you have the product key, go down to the left hand corner and click "Add a Game" > click "Activate a Product on Steam" > type in the product key. Hopefully that will work for you, if that doesn't work,
Go to My Computer > Local Disk > Program Files (if you have 64-bit windows it will be under Program Files (x86)) > Steam > steamapps > common > borderlands2 and launch the exe in the folder (might be in a bin folder, not too sure. Dont have it installed currently). If it says you need to own the game on steam to play the game I would continue to try to contact Steam.
"Not Enough Items" by ChickenBones (http://www.minecraft...ckenbones-mods/) Its still a 1.2.5 mod, but if you're okay with that, then it'll work. It also shows the recipes/usages of various blocks and items. Probably one of the best recipe viewers out there.
EDIT: Probably the reason you didn't see it in the modpack is because its installed directly into the .jar file
It happens, I think its a phase. I'm in the same phase, and I plan to play other games and do other things. I know eventually I'll get back in the mood to play. It helps for me to play with mods, just give yourself lots of things to do. Adventuring mods, technical mods, tweak mods, anything and everything you fancy.
For now, I went back to Skyrim, Starcraft, Warcraft III, and a few other games I used to play a lot. I know I will always come back to minecraft, you will always get that urge to mine and craft ;D
