No mobs in minecraft really scare me, but me and my friend decided to play a horror map in minecraft and there is a jump scare that had me literally the most scared I have been in my life up until that point... We logged off instantly and waited almost a full 30 minutes until we got back on.
Go into your custom recource pack's folder and select the assets folder, pack.mcmeta, and pack.png. Send these to a new zip folder, name it whatever you want to.
Step Two:
Upload your zip folder to a web host of some kind. (I used dropbox in this example) Once uploaded get a direct download link by clicking share, Copy this link. (make sure the link ends in ?dl=1. If it says ?dl=0 go ahead and change it.)
Step Three:
Enter/open server.proporties (main config file) and paste your link in the resource-pack line, save and restart your server. walla! (I have a server host bit this method should still work on your personal server.)
Hey guys I found the solution for more than half of you! After four tedious hours of trying to get my own server res. pack to work I've come to find that the problem is something we've all been dumbly overlooking. If you had no trouble getting the direct link from mediafire, dropbox, etc., but the res. pack either didn't download, or downloaded but didn't change anything once you got in game; I'VE FIGURED YOU OUT. Minecraft can't open your resource pack folder. You need to select only the content INSIDE of your resource pack folder and compress THAT into a zip file. Then drag it out of it's original folder and that is your zip file you use as a direct download link. You're welcome.

I have a server started on my computer but my internet speed is crap. only 2mb download and 0.5mb upload. I just don't want to be admin of the server i made, I want to be one of the owner of the server, partner up, 50/50 kind of thing. Mine is so laggy people don't come back. lol
Maybe I don't understand what you mean about the in game admin, but i have 8-10 groups with permissions from the plugin groupmanager.
