An individual case often begins with a perfunctory infringement complaint,[21] or even a mere threat of suit, which is often enough to encourage settlement for the nuisance or "threat value" of the suit by purchasing a license to the patent. In the United States, suits are often brought in United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, known for favoring plaintiffs and for expertise in patent suits.[36]
Basically, they have the cards in their favor since they are based in Texas. And since Texas courts favor the plaintiffs and not the defendants, I do not know how Mojang is gonna win this one.
Their method is simple: Base your business in Texas, become patent troll. Sue anyone within your reach. Take every case to a single court that would overly favor you. Win every time.
It seems like they have almost already won. (Although I don't think we should give up, though.)
Edit: This wikipedia page is a good read though. Funny how I found it as one of the related links to the Ric Richardson page. Almost like it's trying to tell me something......

WHAT IS THIS?
This is a mod for Minecraft called the Homestuck Minecraft Mod (Name unofficial, may change later.)
WHAT WILL THIS MOD DO?
This mod will simulate SBURB, a game from the popular webcomic Homestuck by Andrew Hussie.
It will have items and mobs from the game as well.
Bascially, it will start off with a computer. And a CD. Once you put that CD in that computer, then the fun will start as a meteor will bare down upon you, threatening your very existence. You must go on a bunch of quests and deploy a bunch of things to grow your QUEST TREE and gain your entry item. Once you eat your entry item. (It is consumable.) You will gain entry into the medium. The portal will be one way so you can't go back. You will land on your world, a land generated of two random blocks. (Like land of water and sand or Land of Diamond and water)
Watch out, because once you are in your land, you will meet your first enemies: The Imps. The imps will attack you and grab your stuff and break your house by taking blocks from it. Once you get deeper into the game, you will encounter more types of enemies, such as the ogres, among other enemies. But you won't just encounter enemies, you will also encounter allies, such as your consorts, a randomly generated animal that live in villages on the planet in the medium. You can trade with these consorts, and gain their trust.
The rings of Skaia are portals, which teleport you to new worlds, where you must build with others toget to the highest ring. But deep below the surface of your planet lies your denizen. Once you reach it, you will either have to fight it, or you may be given a choice. I do not know.
After you reach the top ring of your world, you will be teleported to Skaia, where you will fight the Black King and Queen. When you win, you get teleported to a platform with a door, when you open the door, you are teleported to your new world.
ITEMS
Items will generally be stuff from minecraft and Homestuck. There will be weapons, and to ge the higher grade weapons, you must alchemize a weapon with another item, or if you want a better item or armor, you must do the same thing, but with other items and armor. Imps and enemies will drop grist as well, which you can use to build and alchemize stuff.
Also there may be something to turn items and armor into grist as well.
BEDS
WHen you go to sleep, you are transported to either Propsit (Gold) or Derse (Purple). Prospit has white inhabitants and Derse has Black inhabitants. Both will be gigantic cities full of Dersites or Prospitians, depending on whichever planet you will be on. Then once you want off of the planet to go back to your adventure, you can find a bed on that planet and fall asleep, and you will be teleported back to the bed you were sleeping in on your planet.
Basically this mod allows you to play a session of SBURB (Or it at least tried to imitate a SBURB session) in Minecraft. I am already starting work on the mobs, and with luck, I can get people to help me code and texture. Of course this will be a lot of work, as this is going to be a BIG mod that hopefully won't break Minecraft.
Also here is a blog that I will use to put down info and stuff and post screenshots of the mod work. http://homestuckminecraftmod.tumblr.com/

It was epic. Until a griefer came and destroyed it before the mods could get off their slow butts and come. >_>

Actually, technically, the portal does work. You just have to come into contact with at least one portal block to activate the teleportation.

If you delete a world, it's not actually fully deleted. The folder is still there, but is unaccessable to you from Minecraft. By making a new world and typing in the same name as the folder you deleted, you are using said folder instead of making a new one. And because you are using that folder, your world gets regenerated regardless of what seed you put in. (This is actually good for worlds that accidentally get corrupted, as it helps bring them back.)
The best course of action is to delete the world, go to your minecraft saves folder and delete the folder from the saves folder. After that, go back into Minecraft and make a new world, and it should be different now (hopefully).

Download it from this topic.
Just follow the instructions on how to install it
VOILA! You have Mo Creatures on your Minecraft now!

I mean I dunno if my art would live up to some of the bigger spritearts people have made but they look good too.
EDIT: There was also the Super Mario question block I made into a secret house on a server. I even made a whole Super Mario themed room for a contest on a server, not to mention a map full of sprites I did.

When fighting a creeper, hold down the mouse button, while keeping your line of sight on the creeper. You will continue to knock back the creeper and keep you out of its blast range as you continuously attack it. If the creeper comes too close, move backwards calmly, or turn around and move away some distance then wait for the creeper to come to you. Just keep out of its blast range.
It works for me.

It even infected milleniare villages, and turned them into ghost towns of netherrack and soul sand.
Good times, good times.

Okay something I noticed. I think the village finder is broken. I've been wandering in the wilderness for hours trying to find a village that I had found at the start, and every direction I go, it keeps saying I am getting farther and farther from the village (Even if I am going the direction stated on the finder.)See edit 2EDIT:
I can answer this. All you have to do is go to the config file for Milleniare, in .minecraft/milleniare, then go to the config lines (Under the secondary language lines), then change the key for "quest_list_key" from "M" to whatever key you want, save, then start Minecraft back up. It (hopefully) should work.
See edit 3EDIT 2:
Fixed. I got out of Minecraft and back in, and it seems to work correctly now.
EDIT 3: It's doing it again.

I believe it comes from the cooking mod. (Not sure though)
