Shay began to feel he was living an empty life, and fell into a deep depression. He continued life as normal, and told nobody of his feelings, only a leather journal that he was given by a trader. Shay always longed to find love, someone to share his feelings with and someone that would bring him joy and changed this empty life. When Shay was young, he had crushes on multiple girls, but nobody ever showed the same affection to him. To him, it seemed as if finding love had become the goal of this life. As time went on, Shay tried to convince himself love wasn't important, that it was truly nothing special, that one could fall in love with many women around the world, so it never meant anything. Shay began to become less of the fun loving child that he was, and developed into a more serious, cynical man.
Life was boring for Shay. Each day was just the same as the last. Nobody ever came along in his life, and Shay lost hope. When Shay was 16, he began to develop a serious taste for adventure. He wanted to move beyond the walls of this ragged little town and see what was left of the world, and to meet people. Whenever he expressed this desire, he was harshly reminded of the terrors that lie beyond, and was laughed at. But the thirst for excitement was never lost. The fire continued to burn.
A year later, a black haired girl his age came along with a band of nomads. Having difficulty with installation. Where the instructions say put the resources folder in the resources folder, does this mean I simply drag and drop the mod's resource folder into minecraft's resource folder? Then, do all of the other folders get sent into the minecraft.jar?

Ok, thanks. I'm doing something wrong on my end. Are your dragons pretty common or are they rare? From the videos I've seen, there's quite a few (although that just may be for showcasing the mod) dragons hopping around. When I go into the world, I haven't found any.

I don't have skype yet, but I'll install it and sign up to get help. If you could wait that would be awesome. And just a warning, you might have to do a bit of explaining. Not very proficient, and I might get lost in the sea of folders.
I've tried installing the Mod Loader, and a couple of these mods but with no success. I thought I was doing things write, but I probably did the wrong process. Where they say to put the mod in the minecraft.jar using WinRAR, I wasn't sure what to do. Also, when trying to install Millénaire, after a few steps, it said to delete some META-something (didn't actually say "something") folder, which I couldn't find. I'm not very experienced in dealing with zip files, WinRAR, etc.
Some more detailed instructions that a monkey could understand would be amazing. I'm getting a little bored with the base game, and want to add more. If some of these mods aren't compatible with each other, just let me know. I'm mainly focused on getting Millénaire, Repair Mod, and MineColony

Why you want to be accepted (A short answer, nothing big): I want to get more into Minecraft role play. This server offers a highly appealing style to me, and I can't wait to get involved with the story. Survival role plays, specifically apocalyptic survival is very entertaining for me.

Background / Who are you?: (I'll give a quick written description. This skips details, it just describes the events that led up to his current situation. I could easily expand on the details and write a book, but I won't, obviously. So forgive the vagueness of some parts.)
Shay is a simple man. He was born into an Irish family. Spent his life with his family in a rather small, but well protected community up until he turned 19. This community was based inside ragged, makeshift walls of broken metals and wood. It consisted of 140 people, and every individual was required to learn a wide set of skills, ranging from gathering resources from the land (mining, etc.), cooking, fighting, and crafting tools for use. When each person turned 12, they were expected to contribute to the community with these skills, daily. The town was made up of people from all backgrounds, such as wanderers, ex-raiders, scientists, and more.
Shay continued life the way everyone else did; collecting materials and resources each day for use in the community, studying and learning to read and write, and learning various martial arts, that were barely kept alive by travelers. He was a simple man, and was no different from anyone else in the town.
Shay began to feel he was living an empty life, and fell into a deep depression. He continued life as normal, and told nobody of his feelings, only a leather journal that he was given by a trader. Shay always longed to find love, someone to share his feelings with and someone that would bring him joy and changed this empty life. When Shay was young, he had crushes on multiple girls, but nobody ever showed the same affection to him. To him, it seemed as if finding love had become the goal of this life. As time went on, Shay tried to convince himself love wasn't important, that it was truly nothing special, that one could fall in love with many women around the world, so it never meant anything. Shay began to become less of the fun loving child that he was, and developed into a more serious, cynical man.
Life was boring for Shay. Each day was just the same as the last. Nobody ever came along in his life, and Shay lost hope. When Shay was 16, he began to develop a serious taste for adventure. He wanted to move beyond the walls of this ragged little town and see what was left of the world, and to meet people. Whenever he expressed this desire, he was harshly reminded of the terrors that lie beyond, and was laughed at. But the thirst for excitement was never lost. The fire continued to burn.
A year later, a black haired girl his age came along with a band of nomads. Shay never had told any girl of his feelings, but this time he decided to break his hold habits, and try and get to know her while she stayed. Things went well, and in time the two grew very close. Shay began to loosen up once again, became less cynical, and showed more happiness in his daily life. With this new girl, things weren't so bad in all the redundancy. But the time came when she had to move on with her group again. Shay had told her his dream of setting off into the world, and that when he did, he would see her again.
A few years passed, and Shay lost his parents, both to sickness. He was now 19, and had sank back into depression, although the hope of seeing his love kept his fire alive. He gathered up what supplies he could carry, and set out without a word. He would leave this empty life behind and find meaning in the wicked world.

Occupation: None in specific. Shay just trades what he finds along his travels.

Does your character have any health/physical or mental problems/issues?: Shay's life has been filled with emotional ups and downs, most upward moments ultimately leading to Shay being shot down, and left in a depression. Through these events, he has become hardened, and shows little emotion. He could be considered borderline-suicidal. In the mess of the world, he finds himself often severely depressed, but only confides feelings to his journal. His will to survive is to great for him to end it. So that's his mental 'problem'.
Character Fears: Shay has his rational fears, but shows little. Over his life, his heart has become tough through hardships, and his travels through the wastelands have drained him emotion. He has the will to survive, and will run if it means survival, but if facing something is his only option, he will do so without faltering.

His destination was the supposed location of a past love of his, that he promised to see again. When he arrived, all he saw was a town in ruins. The only one who had ever shown affection for him had been killed in a raid. Seeing her is what kept Shay going through all the hardships, and now there was nothing left. Shay sat down on a pile of rubble in silence. He cried what tears he had left, rose, and made a silent vow to himself. He raised his arm, and cut a gash along his wrist and let the blood drip on to the charred ground. "Never again..." he muttered. The one time he gained true love and hope, what he had was shot down and beaten into dust. "I've nothing left..." he sobbed. Although his heart fell into despair, his will to survive remained. He solemnly gathered his thoughts, and left.
This event is largely responsible for what little emotion Shay shows to others, and the intensity of his character.

Ok, thanks. I'm doing something wrong on my end. Are your dragons pretty common or are they rare? From the videos I've seen, there's quite a few (although that just may be for showcasing the mod) dragons hopping around. When I go into the world, I haven't found any.

I'm using WinRaR. What I've done was dropped the resource folder in the resource folder. Then everything else in the minecraft.jar. This didn't work. Could someone clarify this for me?

I've tried installing the Mod Loader, and a couple of these mods but with no success. I thought I was doing things write, but I probably did the wrong process. Where they say to put the mod in the minecraft.jar using WinRAR, I wasn't sure what to do. Also, when trying to install Millénaire, after a few steps, it said to delete some META-something (didn't actually say "something") folder, which I couldn't find. I'm not very experienced in dealing with zip files, WinRAR, etc.
Some more detailed instructions that a monkey could understand would be amazing. I'm getting a little bored with the base game, and want to add more. If some of these mods aren't compatible with each other, just let me know. I'm mainly focused on getting Millénaire, Repair Mod, and MineColony
