Honey I find from messing around with it has a very good use, topping off your hidden hunger saturation! Even with full hunger bar you can keep drinking honey and top off your saturation it would seem! After drinking a few when full hunger bar, I was able to run for a long distance before starting to deplete hunger and this means it can be good to have a good helping of honey before going into dangerous situations so one regens health a lot more as well when injured.

The_Shadow posted a message on Let's talk about CrossbowsPosted in: Recent Updates and SnapshotsI think they're fairly balanced. An unenchanted crossbow is slightly better than an unenchanted bow, but bows have much more powerful enchantments.
Who is actually going to run around with a hotbar full of cocked crossbows? And yeah, even if you do, you can get nine shots off fast, but then you have to cock them all. Hope you weren't fighting more than a couple mobs!

DuhDerp posted a message on Let's talk about CrossbowsPosted in: Recent Updates and SnapshotsIn case you were unaware, Elytra were first introduced with the ability to fly indefinitely without the use of a bow or fireworks. Mojang didn't really like that, though, so they nerfed Elytra to be unable to gain altitude. This lead to the punch-bow exploit, which totally surprised the crap out of Mojang in that they didn't realize how much players enjoyed the original implementation of Elytra. The punch-bow exploit made you look retarded, however, so Mojang implemented rocket propulsion.

Phnixhamsta posted a message on "How did we get here?" AdvancementPosted in: Recent Updates and SnapshotsInteresting finding this topic on the forum. There is an easier way, but by no means "easy". It should save you a heck of time to the extent you should avoid transporting mobs outside of their native dimension - moving Shulkers around is a great hassle.
Here's a video I uploaded that explains the thought process behind it. I do plan on attempting this. Sounds like fun!
- Brief steps (below)
1. Obtain all items needed for the 15/19 effects.
2. Kill Ender Dragon and Wither. Build Haste beacon in End City.
3. Locate a Shulker. This should be near the beacon. Obtain three more Wither Skulls for a second Wither.
4. Find an Ocean Monument and link to Stronghold (with Nether Portals if needed).
5. Obtain Mining Fatigue from Ocean Monument and travel back to End City. 5 minute timer starts now.
6. Summon second Wither near Shulker. Obtain Levitation and Wither near the Haste beacon.

So, with the new update, there's blue fire. There are also a lot of other new nether related blocks as well. Well, what if there was a furnace with blue fire, that cooked, like maybe twice as fast, needed netherite to craft, could only be used in nether, and you had to use lava as the fuel source? Maybe it could be called a combustion chamber? Just an idea.

Yeah, i've been thinking about the ability to turn rotten flesh into "zombie jerky", or something like that. One good idea for it would be if you could only do it in a smoker. Maybe relate it to piglins somehow, as well?

It would be better if bees spawned more often, but overall I think it is going to be an amazing update!

Well, yeah, but I just like the honey skin. Plus, bees accelerate the growth of other crops when they fly over them with pollen.
