Just thought I'd drop by and say I'm super excited about the progress you've been making, Fang. I remember being pumped for this map when you announced it and I am SO glad to see how dedicated you've been and how you've persevered through all Minecraft's changes. I can feel the hype!
Oh, and thanks for doing the Pantheon update to 1.8 as well. I played it back when it came out (didn't beat it - no kidding when people say it's one of the hardest maps out there!) but I am considering giving it another whirl to check out how it has changed
I believe Commander (He was a commander, right?) Numa said something about an enemy airship during his monologue. Might be of use to check that out. It's a start at least. *wink*
Thanks pal, found all the stuff I was missing from the area I totally missed Numa mentioning it but remember wondering why one of the enemy forts was called Airship Dock xD
I've not finished the map yet (I've just got the purple wool) but wanted to drop by and tell you that I think this is an awesome map I've played a ton of CTM maps and this one has such a good balance in terms of difficulty (so far) and some really fantastic and inventive features. You've really taken the new tools from 1.6+ and used them to full effect.
Now, once more unto the breach. I need to find the recipes in the Battle for the Barrier area!
EDIT: OK, I'm having some trouble finding the recipes in the Battle for the Barrier area. I like to complete things thoroughly so I'd be really grateful someone could give me some tips to finding them! Cheers
Hey folks. I'm having some trouble with the little stone pebbley things. They won't craft into a cobblestone block as stated in the original post.
I do have several other mods installed so it could be some kind of ID conflict, but the only one which isn't covered by Ex Aquilio is Dynamic Lighting.
Anyway, if someone can suggest a solution I'd be very grateful. If it involves changing an ID, some really specific instructions would be really appreciated, as I have never dabbled in creating/editing mods.
Heyo - is this map going to be going ahead? I am keeping my fingers crossed because it looks really cool, and computer problems suck so I heartily endorse overcoming them and making awesome maps
Hey, this looks like it's going to be awesome. If you want feedback from a CTM wuss (never completed a Vechs map, despite PLENTY of trying) I'm your gal.
Hey, just thought I'd letcha know I'm downloading these maps now, they look awesome and I'm excited to play them. Any thoughts on how the balance will be affected by the latest MC changes?
Sorry, but that project has been cancelled. Vechs doesn't like building huge cities and architecture isn't really his thing. He's probably working on Canopy Carnage 2 or Map #13 right now.
That's a shame, though all the other Vechs maps I've played have been really good fun (though I've never completed one...) so I'm sure whatever he releases next will be awesome too.
The towers will literally tear a piece out of the biome instead of building on the biome surface when dealing with BoP biomes, effectively having structures in deep square pits.
I'm getting the same result with ExtrabiomesXL with the latest update. Some seem to fit in nicely while others are generated on top of squared dirt foundations raised above the surface.
Let me go ahead and fill you guys in on the treehouse core: The core you THOUGHT was a core, is not a core. The ACTUAL core exists, but is hidden behind walls (which means you either need True Sight or you need to start blinking about until you find it). I'll not give away its location, but I assure you, the 'false' core is no bug.
Thanks very much for clearing this up - as what I described above happened in my first foray into Ars Magica, I was mightily confused
I am suffering from a problem which seems widespread - the magic walls! Now, I found my way inside the fancypants tree-fort thing and broke the Tower Protector block. Sadly this didn't seem to have the intended effect, as in, it didn't do anything. I checked the wiki but couldn't find anything about the Tower Protector or Magic Walls on there.
Am I doing something wrong, or is there possibly some part of the process I missed?
On the same topic I found a cool tower in a desert which had some iron doors with no buttons or pressure plates, and I have no idea how I'm supposed to get in! There looks like cool stuff in there!
Any tips appreciated
Appreciate the huge amount of work which must have gone into this mod - thanks.

This is happening for me also.
