I'm hosting a modded server for me and my friend and it was working just fine the other day but now when I try to start it, it says
**** FAILED TO BIND TO PORT!
The exception was: java.net.BindException: Cannot assign requested address: bind
Perhaps a server is already running on that port?
I have checked through console commands that nothing is using the 25565 port, I've tried changing port and port forwarding multiple times, the only way the server has even started was when I removed my ip from the server.properties file and the problem is then I don't know how to connect my self and my friends.

Wait so I just tried it with my friend and he doesn't seem to be able to connect through public ip i tried public IPv4 and IPv6
Fixed it for now
Changed some stuff when portforwarding
