Today has been even more maddening than the last. Yesterday, I wouldn't have thought such a thing to be possible, but it's happened. It’s that damned Jerry, day after day, every day. That smooth, perfect scalp, glistening in the grim eternal twilight of the rift. I don’t think I can resist the temptation any longer. That head must be mine. I can just imagine that beautiful and majestic object hanging above my mantelpiece, brightening the whole room with its glory. If I hear the rapping of his thin elegant knuckles on my door one more time, I think I might snap. His head will be mine.
