So, for my resource pack, I want to make a tool add a bit of texture depending on enchantments (so if a sword has sharpness, it will have some color at the tip, or change the blade shape). Is there any way to "add" a bit of texture on top of the current item texture, and if this is possible, can you stack multiple overlayed textures? This would be useful to know as I really don't want to make a different texture for every tool, for every possible enchantment combination
So, currently we can't use scores inside most commands, of course we have the ability for scores in selectors, but we can't use them in things like co-ordinates, so i propose, %score,[selector]. How it will be used is you put a percent sign (%), then, without a space, put the name of the score, then, add a comma (,), finally, add the selector, so if MY score of "timer" is "5" then I can use "%timer,@p[]" and this would substitute a number. I'm not sure if this is feasible coding-wise, but your Mojang, i'm sure you can think of something creative

Benjaminian, to do that use tag:{NBTDATA} next to where Damage and Count would be

EDIT: I am fine with using optifine

I feel like we should have attribute values for all potions, here's why
A: they don't overwrite potions
B: they can be used in combination with potions
C: they require no commands to run
D: they apply and remove instantly
E: they can be run on specific slots for specific items
