They hooked me by releasing a demo for Call of Duty. had me right there. So good Even though the old games are way better, I still play black ops2. I mis the slower pace of the old multiplayer. Black ops 2 muliplayer is pretty much COD:Counter-strike edition. lol! and that's preobably why i like it too!Quote from coin409
Glad they used the old Call of Duty sounds and setting, no this stupid Modern Warfare carp.

You spawned on the border of a desert and plains. The desert had a temple/village and surface dungeon at spawn. All good loot too. In the plains, a perfect square village with every building, a mineshaft under it with a few dungeons. The desert also had 3 other temples, one with a village beside it, and they all had surface dungeons.
Best part, every dungeon, chest, temple, had diamonds and enchantment books. Within one ingame day, I collected blast protection 3, feather falling 1, protection 4, knockback 2, sharpness 4, 2 infinity books, looting 1, efficiency 5, silk touch 1... and quite a few others. Had a chest nearly full of books.
How'd I lose it? Well I was playing on hardcore mode, died, deleted the world, but I still had a creative world of the seed to recreate from... So I take a break from minecraft. Next day, I go to play it, I think, hmm, my save folder is cluttered with worlds I don't play, so I delete them all. I go check my screenshots, to get the seed and I realize I didn't type "seed" in any of the shots. I completely forgot F3 doesn't display the seed anymore!!
It's lost forever now! I feel so dumb!
Have you guys "lost" any awesome seeds before?

Opps! I guess I forgot to mention the dungeon is in the jungle. I have a screenshot of its location, that should help!

Actually if you get sunlight to hit bedrock directly, like a 1x1 hole, the whole place lights up light like at surface levels. and I kind of have to make it there because ever where else is ocean.Im going to try all of these ideas, thanks guys

I am building an under water village so I need to build holes going from bedrock to above the water for sunlight. And make then look good too. So I've been using a 1 block hole with a ladder from bedrock to the my above water base.
It works, but it's just so boring using it over and over going so slowly up that ladder.
Is there a faster way?

Large Biomes
There is also a nice little cave with a dungeon at the bottom containing a power 2 enchantment book along with some other goodies. Fitting place for a bow enchantment, you'll have lots of string. I haven't explored too much yet, but if I find anything cool I'll post it up.
Here are some screenshots I took. (That hole in your screen is the location I'm taking the following screenshot from.)
On the beach.
Directly behind you in the first shot.
On that jungle cliff.
Cave with stuff to make a nice bow and sword right away.

That's about all I can think of,

1 - Be alert all the time.
I have died many times mining when I just stop paying attention then something happens. Like catching on fire and not being able to put it out before you die. Had I been 100% in the game, I'd survive. So don't play it if other things are going on around you. I do anyways though.
2 - Get a diamond sword ASAP.
The best defence is a good offense. Armour is nice too. But if you are alert when you play and a creeper sneaks up on you, you have time to turn around, sprint at it, while hitting it 3 times with a dimond sword. Dead creeper, no boom. Can't do that with an iron sword.
3 - Always think ahead and make sure you have enough food for whatever you are doing. Self explanitory..
That's about it.
I don't tend to worry much about lighting things other than my safe areas cause I want mobs to spawn. And when they do, take them out as quickly as possible before they can do any damage.
Always think ahead and make sure you have enough food for whatever you are doing.
About backups. Just recently I made a backup copy of a world I really liked and didn't want to lose. Made it just in case.. Since then I have died twice and lost a whole lot of work... but I still have that backup. It still feels like hardcore mode playing a backup. Even if it is not "100% legit" I mean, my world was a survial island seed, went looking for land, got lost in the ocean, built an outpost on the water, mined under it, made a nether portal and found a double blaze spawner and thought, wow, im gonna save this one... I was at level 30 something before I made a back up.
My point is, as long as you don't make backups every minute, when you die, you still lose a lot of stuff. Still fun like hardcore mode.
BTW That hardcore world I'm talking about, Im making it into a hardcore adventure world. Escape the nether and get to the ship flying in the sky in the overworld to win. It'll be cool. Fun to make and a challange for those who play it.

Notch even copied the TM:F developer's look. Just put on a hat to avoid lawsuits. Proof?
Still a fun game though, just can't match the original
