Try "Elfen Lied". It creates a bunch of overhanging cliffs, along with water and lava falls.

That really isn't the point of Inception. It's supposed to be a dream within a dream within a dream, that sort of thing. Putting in multiple colored beds has nothing to do with it and would be better fitted for a different mod than this.

That's a good idea. But how could it get stranger? I don't want this to become another nether-type thing, with lava falling from the sky and weird blocks. Maybe landscapes being more cliff-like, random stone or ores in the air? That would be shenanigans.

What if, with a device, you could go into deeper and deeper levels of "dream-worlds" in Minecraft?

Just had a great idea for a new mod. (Note: I'm not a mod developer, this is purely something i thought up. Anyone willing to take this on, I congratulate you. )

If you've seen Inception, then you know this concept. If you haven't WATCH IT. Anyway, there have been tons of mods like the Aether, or the Moon, that create a new world in the game. In the move "Inception", when you dream with this one certain device, then you enter a lucid dream, where you can choose whatever you do, and even bring another one of these devices in with you. You can create worlds, communicate with your dream people ("projections"), or go into another dream, in which you can.......well you get the idea. Also, with this device, in the movie, you can share dreams with other people. SMP Potential?

So, everything I've just explained is perfect for Minecraft. In Minecraft, you choose what you want to do, create worlds, communicate, everything. The two are a perfect pair.

In the mod, each time you went into a dream with the device, a new world with a random seed would be generated. You would keep your same inventory throughout the levels. The text could be like "Entering the 1st level", and so on and so forth for each dreamstate. But the question is: how do you get out? In the movie, like real life, normally in a dream, when you die you wake up. But that's not convenient, is it? You just mined diamonds in level 2, but now they're stuck there! The other way to be woken up from a level of dream is to fall (The Kick) in Inception. If, persay, you fall off a cliff in Level 1, the shock of falling a certain distance could wake you up, moving you up a level, or even to the surface.

But now, a question of memory space. If you had too many worlds created, Minecraft would explode into pieces and all of your hard work would be destroyed. Here's an idea:
The further you go down, the less stable the world becomes. Falling shorter distances makes you take more damage, enemies might deal more damage, and so on. It would take less work to go back up a level, and because of this restriction, saves wouldn't get too large.

OK, finally, crafting recipes (perhaps?). When you just sleep in a bed, you don't want to be transported to another world automatically (or do you? Perhaps configurable). So, we need a dream device. Nothing to hard to make, so you can have multiple dreams, or make a new one in another level. Here's a recipe I had in mind:

B = Bed; I = Iron; R = Red Dye

This basically resembles the appearance of the device in the movie. Right clicking the box would cause you to go down a level in dreams, much like going through a nether or aether portal. BUT, what if it used redstone?

Perhaps this box, when connected by redstone to a regular bed, could cause you to go down in levels when sleeping in the bed, while without the connection, you would simply make night go away as normal. What do you think about that?
