Ever since minecraft started randomly disconnecting my internet, I've been playing less and less.
kmiller or haseo, if you're reading this, I despise steam. just send me a pm thru the forums or something.
I honestly don't think you should do that; our limited activity hardly warrants our own server. I'd hate to impose by letting you put up a server when people won't play on it much. It's kind of sad, but I wouldn't ask that of you.
Past my opinion, what you do is your decision to make. If you or the others feel like we need it, go for it.
Actually, after posting our server up on the list, we gained a lot of popularity. I can remember about 15 or so regular players, with new ones coming in every day. Plus, the map we had was ****ING AWESOME.
I seem to be unable to connect. I time out :S. Other servers work for me. Like I said earlier, the server I payed for is still available for us. If any of you know haseo's contact details, please tell him to either fix his problems or give him the server's map.
If there is no response from him within a week (13 sept is his due date) I will put up my server for your enjoyment.
It would bring alot more people to our server, and to our guild, but it will also bring griefers to the server.
To counter that, we could switch server software to one that removes the explosions of tnt, and the destructiveness of fire, or we could fashion some sort of spawn jail, or a big maze. Bedrock cant be deleted in-game, so that could be an option.
any thoughts on us going public? do you guys think it is a good idea, or a bad one?
This of-course all depends on what Haseo thinks, but it'd be nice to get an opinion from our group.
At first I thought about making 2 cities, on corners of the map. That way the cities could fight each other, compete for resources, etc. I then realized that one city could easily gain advantage over another, If it had a bigger player base than the other.
My next idea was to let everyone do whatever, but I quickly dropped it.
After that I thought about creating a city close to spawn. Players could either go to that city, or go the other way and become a hermit or whatnot. Smaller cities could pop up and fight, with the first main one remaining undisturbed.
So, does anyone else have any ideas on how I should organize the server?

I'll be making myself the winterized power armor. I guess I can darken it a bit, and change the eyes to turn it into enclave armor for you.
EDIT: here's my power armor, if anyone's interested. I'll do the enclave armor tmrw.

EDIT2: In order to not derail the thread, I did the vault boy skin that started this all.

Since our server is always quite empty, I was thinking we could advertise it on http://servers.minecraftforum.net

After talking with Haseo, we've added our server to http://servers.minecraftforum.net so expect to see more people online.
