There is a term called "sandbox". "A sandbox is a style of game in which minimal character limitations are placed on the gamer, allowing the gamer to roam and change a virtual world at will. In contrast to a progression-style game, a sandbox game emphasizes roaming and allows a gamer to select tasks. Instead of featuring segmented areas or numbered levels, a sandbox game usually occurs in a “world” to which the gamer has full access from start to finish." (Technopedia). If you think this is a game engine, please look to thinks like Unity or Unreal. What do you start with? Any structure, base, or concept? Anything given to you? No. Nothing but code and a whole lot of imagination. Sure you have materials at hand, but those don't do diddly when creating a full blown game. In Minecraft, there is already a basis. You may be making a "game" but it is still a game within another game. I get the modding idea, but really without there already being a game, there would be no mods for said game.
For example, "even putting that aside, Minecraft's open-ended nature lends itself well to customizing play just by changing how one plays it, not unlike playground rules." This phrase is an example of a sandbox. You decide what you want to do with little or no limitations. Though you may change what you want, the game is still Minecraft. Mods do not determine what the game is, just how it is played. Minecraft is a sandbox, not an engine.

Minecraft isn't on a decline. It is on a decline for you. Try reviving that passion with new ways to play the game.

Hello! My name is Austin. I am currently part of a clan called Li77le Lights but I have noticed that my fireteam has completely different schedules than me. Therefore, I decided to go back to an old Beta clan I had made and see if I could get some people to join.
What I am looking for:
- Listen: If you don't know what you are doing, that is okay. Just tell me or some other clan member and we can teach you the ropes. Whether it be raid, crucible, or nightfall tactics.
- Patience: If you get frustrated over not being able to beat Golgoroth in the first try, this is not for you.
- Understanding: There is a point where inexperience becomes to much to handle. If you don't know what you are doing and are unwilling to listen or just don't understand the concepts of the game mechanics, than please don't think you can do the raid with this clan. We will not carry. I know I said I would help, but only if you have a basic understanding of what to do and are willing to listen and understand what I am trying to say.
- Time: Be able to work around schedules, be willing to schedule, and don't get upset when a schedule falls short.
It will also help if you have been a long time Destiny player like myself. Respond to this post and I will look at your perks on DestinyTracker and accept you based on the stats.
I have also posted this on Bungie.net, but I really like the Minecraft Community, so I decided to post this here as well. I don't care if you are a squeeker, just as long as you fit the description of what I am looking for.
Thank you for reading. ~ M

When has Minecraft been about realism?

I just feel the attacks aren't varied enough. They have like, what, 3 different attack animations if that? And they are barely unique. They still kept the jump crit too, which makes me upset. I thought the charge was going to charge a crit.

And yes, I have gone through it step by step. Or at least something very similar.

That is what I thought, but how do I get rid of the initial C:\Users\Austin?
Because it seems to always be there on cmd.

The file IS there. Idk if it is incompatible or broken. First time even trying python and I need it for my CS1410 class.

I currently am trying to get Pygame to run on my Python 3.4.2. I am using the 1.9.1a0-cp35-none-win_amd64 file. It is a wheel file and I have it in my scripts folder. As far as I have seen, you just have to type C:\Python34\Scripts\pip install pygame-1.9.1a0-cp35-none-win_amd64. However, it isn't working, even as admin. This is the error.

As you can see, my setting shows AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series. However, I currently have the R9 270x. This is classified in the Radeon R9 Series. I am wondering why my Minecraft reads this as the wrong card.

Like I said, it depends on preference. It really doesn't matter where you put it. I like it in multiple locations or a single location underground. It just depends on what you want to do. That is the beauty of Minecraft.

Depends on how you build really. I tend to build underground homes and cliff houses, so a mine fits in perfectly there. However, if you like to build seperate homes and towns, you might want to build them far away so there isn't some random mine in the middle of a random home. It doesn't really matter resource wise what you do, it is all preference.
Also, welcome to the forums (:

I'm gonna call the meme police on you

I know you are pretty busy already, but I would like to say I really enjoy your work. If I ever need a good pic for my Twitch channel, I will hit you up. You should look into a career, no joke. Basic, nice looking graphic art is hard to come by now-a-days.

It will, but make sure you turn that RAM usage up on the launcher or else you will get a lot of stuttering!
