    Maybe you're using windows 32 bits and using java for 64 bits or vice-versa. You can also try if you can change some settings in java.

    People have made all sorts of crazy inventions and awesome adventure maps with command blocks. They can do all sorts of stuff that you can't even imagine (maybe i'm exaggerating a little bit).
    And with the basic circuit stuff we got, plus the new redstone blocks and comparators, we've got more than enogh for redstone.

    Remember you didn't even know what an AND gate is. You can't complain that there isn't enough redstone stuff in the game if you don't know what you can do just with what we've got.

    The reason the updates suck is because it removes your freedom.

    You can easily add a new version, you can add different versions with mods, and create profiles with the new launcher to use different jars, even older versions. It's as easy to get an older jar from the internet as it was before. If you want to downgrade to be permanently stuck with an old version because you hate the new launcher, you can get the old launcher somewhere in the internet, and even create your own bin folder and place an old jar there for the old launcher.

    There are a lot of guides in youtube to add your own versions and profiles for the new launcher.
    And there are plenty of results in google to download any jar for any version you want.

    I don't get why you would even want to downgrade.

    Whatever you modify from the game (languages, textures, sound) has to be in the assets folder, not inside the minecraft folder. So;
    .minecraft
    >resourcepacks
    L>acepack
    >L>pack.mcmeta
    >L>pack.png (optional)
    >L>assets
    >>L>minecraft (empty)
    >>L>*the same folder names as in .minecraft/assets, modifying and keeping what you want

    Ok, so i got used with the profile and account system, and it's really awesome. I made some profiles, one has the aether mod. But there is something I don't understand, the LOCATION of the profile. The default is %appdata%/.minecraft, but if i set a profile to a different location, i tried with %appdata%/.minecraft/Aether, nothing changes. It duplicates an empty saves folder, and resources. But it doesn't use the saves folder, it uses the default location for those.

    It'd be nice to have a profile on a different location, and have different information for single player worlds and multiplayer servers, and even use different setting files. But that option just seems to be useless now.


    Also, how do resource packs work relate to the profiles? If i'm in a different profile, they all share the same resource/texture packs right? I want to confirm if the profile location in your computer (option that I thought was useless) is related to resource/texture packs, as i saw that the Aether folder had its own texturepacks folder for 1.5

    And my last question, when modifying the audio resources, it doesn't matter if the modified files have different lenghts right? I just want to confirm that. And if it also affects multiplayer. And how to convert from .mp3 or something to .ogg? As I want to modify the music discs (Jukebox)


    Yeah, they're a lot of questions, but thanks in advance if anyone can answer some of them.

    Ugh, i hate that, no, just no. if more skeletons spawn, there's no way one can see which skeletons are ready to kill and which ones just spawned, and if one spawns while the others are getting crushed, the same. if one accidentally hits a full-health skeleton, then crushing it will result into the skeleton dying because it's been hurted before. So, highly innefficient. I told the same to a friend, who said a dispenser with lava will kill them without needing elevators. It's just the same problems.I'm adding another water block before the 23-blocks-long fall, that's the only thing i can think about that seems probable, maybe it's so thin they still get the full over-30-blocks fall damage because they're falling too fast for the water to absorb damage.

    My skeleton xp farm from a dunegon spawner is not working properly.

    The design is simple, when the skelles spawn, they fall into a 2-block high water current (they don't have ANY way to receive fall damage when spawning in the room), which goes to a single direction to another current, which brings them to the water elevator. The water elevator goes up high, and then falls into a single water block 23 blocks from the collection point (this prevents hem from jumping and still somehow getting half a heart more damage, thus killing them).

    This should work correctly, but HALF THE SKELETONS die from fall damage, the other half NEEDS 2 HITS with the fist to kill them.

    I don't understand. I checked everything twice, there's no way they should be dying before hitting them, and there's no explanation for the others being at 1 full heart after the fall. Please help me. I even tried with myself, full health, and survived with half a heart as the skeletons should.
