It is the year 106 PD. The planet once known as Earth has been ravaged by a devastating nuclear war over a century ago, and very few humans remain. The sun has almost become a red giant, and has already engulfed Mercury and Venus. Its heat is unbearable, and the few scientists that are left predict that Earth, too, will be consumed in a matter of decades.
All records of previous life have been destroyed in the war, but this mattered to very few people. It is all they can do to maintain an existence in this harsh, new climate. The human race is about to be wiped out of existence at last, after continuing to survive for millions of years.
Character Bio:
Laurie Evans was born into this chaotic world, but unlike the others, she has never become accustomed to it. Although she, too, must struggle to stay alive, Laurie has an inexplicable curiosity about the past. She spends rare her free time wondering about what life was like for the people thousands of years ago, and thinking about how to get out of such a hostile environment.
The people Post Destruction have become largely nomadic, and during her travels, Laurie comes across a very mysterious ancient man. He claims to remember times pre-destruction, when humans were safe, and life was taken for granted.
The man approved of Laurie’s interest in history, and the two of them traveled together for months and discussed topics ridiculed by other people of the time. The man eventually became too old to hunt or gather, and others in his tribe begin to conspire against him. They felt that he and Laurie are not doing enough to be allowed to stay in the tribe.
The two were ambushed a few weeks later, and severely injured. The tribe moved on without them. The man was about to die when he reveals that he had the power to move in both space and time. As he died, he accidentally transported Laurie to a place both extremely ancient and very far away.

Why I want to join: Although I am not extremely experienced with RP, I really like the idea. It sounds like an amazing server.

Laurie sat up and shivered. It was cold here. So very cold…
Something small and white raining down from the sky, pelting her through the holes of the small hut’s roof.
And the sun. It was not massive and fiery red, but small, and calm, and yellow. No, that was impossible. Laurie couldn’t think straight. Where was she? What had happened? Questions without answers filled her mind, and she started to panic.
Laurie bolted out of the small, wooden hut, and was about twenty feet away when she became aware of a sharp pain in her lag. She froze for an instant as she remembered the frantic battle that led to the man’s death.
She tried to calm down, and become aware of her surroundings. There was no one in sight, and the freezing white blanket had gotten thicker.
Reluctantly, she hobbled back to the hut to seek refuge until the storm had passed.
