Well its a pretty big map but I don't find it as good as they said it would be. (Come on 16x16 Texturepack for a FarCry map?). The map is made pretty good but all in all its not as good as I thought
Trust me, there were a lot bigger plans. They wanted the T-Pack to be 128 and 256, but when they found out you needed an external mod to have the texturepack bigger than 16x16 they canned that idea.
They wanted extra animals, but again when they found out you needed external mods to have that work they canned it. They wanted a simple installation that any joe/jane could do. Not something that required mods from all over for it to work properly.

Where do they make their money? From the players. This is why they try their best to make the game to satisfy their customers, they merged SMP/SSP so that it was easier for the modders.
All i'm asking is for an "offline" option so that I can avoid this tiny bit of lag. Done and done.
I don't care about mod compatibility, if I want to continue building my city i'll do the online option and continue to build. But if I want to enjoy some singleplayer time, I want to be able to attack my "foes" without having to sword spam in hopes it gets hit before coming close to me. As well as mine faster, can't mine as fast as before because of the small bit of lag. (Network lag, not visual)
I'm not trying to **** anyone off. You shouldn't be getting pissed off because of this, its odd.
Offline option in the near future, i'm happy, and so is everyone else that is unhappy because of this merger.
Thats it.

I can understand the benefits from this, but at the very least they should add an option to disable this. I don't mind multiplayer, but building "Vecter/Newcraft" city with this is annoying, everything slightly lags and it is a burden for me.
I'm hoping they either improve this, or add, like I have previously said, an on/off option.

The map is closed server, basically. It is still a "server", so you will experience the tiny bit of lag. To allow others to access it, you click the open LAN world.

Well I don't agree with this. Before this update, when I hit an enemy with my weapon, it would be hit instantly allowing me to control their distance to me.
Now, there is a tiny bit of "network" lag. I strike the incoming enemy and it takes a fraction of a second to actually register, with this in mind, the enemy is also closer to me than seen so I keep getting touched by the enemy all the damn time
Now to kill enemies, instead of swinging my sword at the right time, I have to spam my sword swing in hopes that I strike the enemy before he runs into me.
Is there any way to disable this? I know on the test versions we could simply disconnect the internet and play and it would revert to the original, but it doesn't do that now.
This has really hurt the game for me. Everything has a bit of lag now, can't kill monsters efficiently, died in the nether because the pigs were hitting me from 5 feet away and my sword wouldn't register hits.
This is ridiculous.

So I disconnected my internet and played the same map - it friggin spawned me at my original spawn point with nothing.
This new system is not fun. Just keep it as it is OR add the option to have a SP server, or just SP on your comp without the server crap.
Not fond of this lag.

Funny you mention that - when 1.2 is released i'm redoing those buildings first. Going to use the full 256 height to build them with as much detail as possible, with an interior as well.

Think of it as 1 city, with their districts named differently

Thanks, and wow amazing work!

Cleared some land, added some hills around the city as oppose to the cliffs, Still deciding where I should place the new land.
