Hey, have you tried opening Task Manager? See if there are multiple "javaw.exe" running, it may be possible for a server to be running without the console visible and making this second server fail to start.

You have set both servers to port 25565, which you can't do. Set one to 25565 and one to 25566 or something like that.
    --AnUnknownMiner

I'm sorry but I don't think this will resolve it, this only applies when both (vanilla and bukkit) would be running at the same time, so they won't use the same port.

If running separately it doesn't matter.

    Quote from JoeKramer

    This is still unresolved.

However I might be thinking it can be a firewall problem, Windows firewall allowing bukkit to go out, but not the vanilla server.

You are using the minecraft_server downloaded driectly from minecraft.net right? Are you using the jar or the exe?

Check your firewall exclusions or disable it completely and test it out, if it works you might need to add an exception to the vanilla server.

Hey, I just wanted to say thank you very much. I just ran it without silk spawners, and the /spawner command worked perfectly. Sorry for all the trouble, but thank you for helping me realize this. Thanks! ~Boss & The ImperialCraft Crew

No trouble at all. Glad to hear it got fixed.
    Good luck with your server!

Ok I just tested the latest recommended craftbukkit (1.5.2-R1.0) with the latest PEX and latest Essentials, used your modified VIP Group and everything seems to be working.

I'd suggest moving all your plugins (Except for those 2) to another folder (So they won't be loaded) and try if it works that way, if it does, then start re-enabling your plugins 1 by 1 or 2 by 2 if you like until you find the culprit.

Good luck, and let me know if it works.

EDIT: Have you make sure that you are not OP, and in the correct group by using /pex users ?

Hi, thanks for the help. I tried putting - essentials.spawner.* and - essentials.spawner.mob but neither yielded any results. While in the vip group, I have all of the commands that are Vip specific, but still not spawner. I really don't understand why it wouldn't work seeing as all the rest did. Thanks for the help anyways, but I'm still stumped.

Upon further research it seems that you need BOTH permissions for it to work, one for the command and the other for what kind of mobs you want to change

    The VIP Group must have:
    Permissions:
    - essentials.stuff and stuff
    - essentials.spawner
    - essentials.spawner.* OR - essentials.spawner.[MOB]
    - essentials.other stuff

btw .[mob] works by putting the actual name of a mob

    - essentials.spawner.spider for example

Hello, I'm not very familiar with Essencials but heres a go:

    In the Essentials documentation: http://ess.khhq.net/...mmand_Reference

    The spawner node says:

I'm guessing that giving 'essentials.spawner' gives them the ability to use the command but it needs additional info and additional permissions (What mob spawn to change) and you would require to add .[mob] or .* for all.

Again, I'm not familiar with Essentials so let me know how it goes.

That's a shame, hope he can find some time soon, both mods together would be incredible.

I'll be following this mod, it sure is on my must-install list :)

posted a message on I need help on port forwarding.
    Short answer, no.

Hamachi uses its own tricks to make a virtual network between you and your friends, it's easier but messier.

All what Hamachi does in simple terms is fake a LAN Network over the internet, but it has it's downsides, if you want a public server it won't do as it only allows I believe 5 people in the network at the time, and nobody wants to download additional software to join a server.

It does not conflict, if you have port forwarded and hamachi installed you can use whichever you want.

Anyway, looking forward to your development.

You using the IP from http://www.ruuter.ee/myip/ to connect to your server running in the same machine?

EDIT: If you are, then your server may already be up without you knowing, check if your friends can connect to it like this.

This is quite common, you CANNOT connect to your own server (running in the same machine) with your External IP. You MUST use "localhost", "0.0.0.0" or "192.168.X.X". A local IP Adress, and give out your External (from http://www.ruuter.ee/myip/) to your friends.

Let me know if you are still having trouble, just quote this reply.

You know it's a wanted feature when even a Moderator starts asking for it! ;D

Haha we ain't no different from a normal user. Just trying to +1 the suggestion :D

EDIT: Just writing down my 2 cents:

The 3 mods (Improved First Person, Player Animations, and Player Render API) ARE compatible with each other, and each one does it's job well. However, in First person, because Player animations adds a new model/animation to the head, and Improved First person brings out the third person model without the head, the result is this:

    creepy

My uninformed, non-developer guess is that the only thing needed to be done (Not saying it's easy) is to remove the head added by Player animations, ONLY when in first person. Everything else seems to be working correctly.
