The people who have posted in this thread are the people who I look up to in this community. They are the people who I see a wall of text and if it was you people who posted it I'd read it. Because, you are the senior/veteran players and what you have to say is bound to be good. Now, I'm not saying that new players don't have anything good to say, thats not true at all. Its just that you are the people who's avatars and signatures I can recognize.
Usually I'm not logged in (My computer has a problem with cookies). I only log in when I want to post something, which for me isn't very frequent. Because I'm not logged in I can't see the report button.
Because of what I read in this thread today, I'm going to try and get that cookie problem fixed. That way I can be logged in and remember that I have a responsibility as a member of this community to make a conscious effort to report problematic posts.

Is there anything that stops me renaming the World 1 folder to World 6, making a new World 1, then deciding to load back the older level by renaming World 1 something else, and renaming World 6 back to 1?
I haven't tried this, but surely with a bit of endeavour our end we can have as many worlds as we like, but can only plug in 5 at a time. Like a set of Game disks, and only 5 CD drives :]
If this does work, which I can't see why it doesn't - there's nothing to stop both users from, after finishing using their files, copying and pasting them into a separate folder, allowing the other to load theirs in.

If loosing your saves really bothers anyone, You can keep a copy of the current minecraft.jar and version files and put them back when notch changes the game.
I think notch should put all the old versions of minecraft online. I would love to be able to see the first version ever released and I would especially love to see rana again.
What do you think. I can't think of any way this would ever end up bad.
