posted a message on I want to become a professional SSBB player thingy.
Hi. I've been getting back into SSBB (super smash bros brawl if you don't know ((but who doesn't know that)))
and I really like Olimar. I know all of the different things the pikmin do, I know all of the moves, but I just can't seem to do very good at all. I watch some clips of Brood (a very good Olimar) and I try to follow his lead, but I just can't seem to do well against my friends. I'd like some good tips that would help me to be a better Olimar. Thanks in advance, guys.

    ok my bad.

How do days last 5 minute. How does sleeping last 3 second. How come there a dragon thats healed by crystals. This is why minecraft is fun.

    Days last 10 minutes.
Frog81 is right, it's a potion effect and milk could get rid of it.
Since you say that it's unrealistic, how is a stench NOT realistic?
This game doesn't need scent. (besides, villagers, iron golems, and farm animals are the only mobs with noses.)

Leaving your computer on for 18 hours doesn't help. You should stand right where the xp drops, or else it will disspear after 5 minutes.

But maybe a creeper killed the pigs, but you should see explosive damage.

maybe skeletons from your xp farm tried to shoot you, and shot the pigs instead?

I should have explained this in more detail.
My pig pen is outside, and there's about a 15 block wall between me and my pig pen.
The zombies, from a zombie spawner, fall into water, which then brings them into a tube that goes up, which has water in it. They fall about 23ish blocks, then have 1 heart left when they fall. When I get back onto the computer, I throw a splash potion of health onto them and they all die at once. This releases tons of exp and drops, but lags me quite a bit while I'm picking the exp up.
Zombies are the only things that drop from my spawner, and they're nowhere near the pigs.

posted a message on My pigs are gone!
I walked out of my house and was shocked to find my pig pen completely empty!
It was overflowing with pigs earlier!
I left my EXP farm on for about 18 hours, last night and during the school day. What I did, I left my computer open for 18 hours while the zombies from a spawner I found pile up. It's effective, since I get a lot of EXP from it.
Anyways, when I got back from school, I collected the exp, and there was a thunderstorm. I was worried for my animals and my village (I have a village outside my house that I built myself), but all the exp from the farm lagged me too much to check. I forgot about the pigs, played for a couple of hours, came back to the house and found all my pigs gone!
It's not a big deal for me to get more pigs, I'm just curious as to why the pigs dissapeared.
    Anyone help me?
    Thanks in advance!

So wait. Are you saying my idea is bad? Or are you asking if anyone else has a good idea?

Nonononono, yours is a good idea, (although I'd prefer a resettable one), I was just asking if anyone else also has an idea.

Make useless contraptions with red stone. My friend made a contraption and it took him 15 hours overall to complete it. (He didn't play 15 hours straight) it's completely useless. It moves blocks so when the gravel at the end gets pushed into the pressure plate it sets off a dispenser that hits TNT. The TNT explodes and it creates a big useless hole. Useless contraptions are fun to make because you can show them off in pics and then show people It does absolutely nothing important in the game.

This is the kind of thing I was asking for, I want random ideas of useless (or useful) redstone contraptions to build. Anyone have any good ideas?

You know, I would be more than happy to do it, and I do have Steam... But I can't get that server stuff to work to save my own life. Not to mention I'm not even at my own house, so It wouldn't work out really. Although there should be some tutorials on Youtube to help you out of you do wish to go ahead with that. Maybe even host your own small server, set up a small thread here, and see who wants to join. Of course you'll need to take precautions, such as regularly backing up the world by merely copying it and saving it somewhere else for safekeeping, but that shouldn't be an issue. Lastly, if all else fails,I'm sure there's a thread with more server info. on it here on the forums, and admins that may help out as well.

Alright. Still, you seem to have good ideas, want to add me? Strange Spy in the Sewers is my steam name, add me if you like.

Try killing the wither without directly attacking him. Preferably with arrow turrets.

I'm not sure if it's possible, but it's worth a try.

The wiki has some machines that auto kill him for me, I'll look into that, but I was already looking into the wither. The wither won't be TOO difficult, I have a Looting sword and a nether fortress, so it won't take me that long. Thanks though.

How about a few monuments and/or shrines? Maybe a statue or two, and a glowstone building with quartz (or stone brick, if you don't use the snapshot), and fill it with books telling of your legacy, along with a weapon or two. Maybe make a museum to tell of your history as you made your rise to power in the world. After all, you started with nothing, and have become the mightiest force alive. Maybe build a giant pool, maybe if there's a lake nearby, add a fishing hut, and add boats and whatnot. If there's a river, maybe add a bridge or two and build a "lighthouse" with glowstone, and maybe a beacon once you kill the wither, for visual purposes. I've got many more ideas, but this should work for a while! :D

Edit: If you really want to develop such a world even faster and see more great things in it, get some friends and help them on their way to greatness! Just set the world up on a server (if you can, I'm sure you can, right...?).

If you'd like, I could upload the world on mediafire and you could try it out. Also, I have absolutely no idea how to create a server, do you have a steam? Maybe you could help me?

This is the issue with sandbox games. The end game result pretty much drains your will power. I find myself not really being able to play Minecraft that much anymore because I've completed the survival side to it over and over again. Building is always fun, but not enough to keep me going for more than a few hours.

I mean, It's still fun adding improvements to my village and farms, but I want to do something big, something like making it to the end that I have to be constantly working for. I just need some ideas.

Wow, you have the same problem that I do. I have a 100% legit world, and I did everything. I don't have anything left to do, it's almost like I reached a 'dead end.' The reason why I don't start over is because making main worlds is difficult for me. I usually overwhelm myself, trying to make everything OCD perfect, and end up deleting the world sooner or later. If I delete the one I have now, I will not have a new main world for months. I also will miss it very much, and have it stuck in my memory.

Sorry for the story, I would suggest building a Wither in the End, so you can sit back and watch the Endermen go mad, and fight it. I did it, and the Wither died an hour later...

Wait, the endermen killed the wither?
    NICE

...Fully automatic double barreled TNT cannon. Yes, it's a thing.

But what's the point in that? There's nobody I'd like to bomb, this is singleplayer, and that seems too complicated...

On this amazing singleplayer world of mine, I've done more than I've done on any other map that I've ever made. I used no mods and no cheats, this is all 100% legitimate
    I have:
    Made a giant house
    Discovered a stronghold
    Discovered a mushroom island
    Mined for hours
Made a cow, sheep, mooshroom, chicken, and pig farm
    Made an EXP farm
    Made a regular drop farm
Went to the end and killed the dragon
By transforming zombie villagers, I created a 12 villager village outside of my house
    I've found a natural village
    I fought a witch
    I did a fireworks show
    I have a wheat/nether wart/cobble/pumpkin/reeds/potato/carrot/watermelon/snow/cactus farm
I made a cool 'enchantment cave'
I have full diamond armor and tools
I have a brewery that is very well used
I lit up the surrounding 400 blocks
    I have a water slide
    I have 2 dungeons conquered
    I have a saddled pig
    etc etc etc

I'm out of ideas. I have no idea what to do next. I'd like some simple redstone machine ideas, I have stacks upon stacks of redstone I haven't used. Any ideas are appreciated, I love this world but don't know what to do next. (Also, don't worry, I'm working on fighting the WIther soon, I'm trying to get the wither skulls atm)

    Thanks in advance!
