you can use a comparator pointing outwards from the barrel, infact it will be an analog redstone signal that will be as strong as how full the barrel is.
I've done it from Y=320 down to Bedrock at Y= -59 into a 2x2 (AND a 3x3 on another world) hole filled with water - AND also without - while holding a Totem of Undying, and yet the Achievement didn't pop
I did get the Achievements for "Cheating Death" and also "Star Trader" - so i don't know what else needs to be done.
well, that event *without* an actual pressure plate - as per example, using a different material other than the existing ones, so detecting the presence of a player to be exact.
true but conditional chain command blocks are effectively an "if" statement
hmm, i guess - but what i'm trying to do is "detect", whereas a cmd_blk would *execute* (at target selector) - even if i used the distance parameter, i don't know how i could make a cmd_blk (as an invisible pressure plate) condition be True/False.
ok, any attempts for an invisible pressure plate in Bedrock seem to be futile - to answer the thread, *yes* - the 'if' (to be exact, NOT a keyword but a sub-command) is only valid in Java Edition.
hello, thanks for the reply - but "trying to follow" isn't a guarantee that "i did" !
i wondered why you mentioned "needs redstone" so i read that page again and realized i missed four words - "and a clock circuit" !!
so, being Always On *still* needs a trigger action to set it off.
i guess i have to start again (somewhat) - i think i will be using the 2-Observers-facing-each-other-'clock' ; 1-tick should be enough to catch a player walking over a particular block ?
will revert with confirmation of (hopefully) success.
i'm still new and learning so don't take this advice as perfect, plus i haven't started experimenting with Behaviour Packs - but as far as Resource Packs go, if you make your pack active on the world (that your device is on - that your friends then connect to) - then when they connect to your (server?) they should be given the option to download the Resource Pack when they JOIN.
at least that's my experience with Bedrock PE. (where my friends connect on PC)
i got this information (pic attached) from the Official Minecraft page re : Add-Ons;
is it outdated and now redundant because everything goes via the Marketplace ?
i am trying to learn how to make Add-Ons (i only have an Android device - not PC) and followed the tutorial on the Minecraft WIKI page and but now am unsure how to place it on the Android device - the com.minecraftpe directory is empty.
i have downloaded the Free Classic Textures Add-On but can't find the actual directory to see where to place additional (self-made) add-ons.
do i have to root the phone to view the actual directories (development_resource_pack , etc) and contents ?

that kills your pure Survival world though.
if you really want to change the look of your armour - change the texture - you can still keep playing Survival mode.

if they died, there should be the message popup.
also, they would have been safer just "sat" - they only attack (mobs) if you attack first.

i've never used the "going down" to point me and simply use triangulation from the horizontal positions.

there is the Structure Block - you need to /give @s structure_block like for the command block.
you can then input the coordinates for a rectangular volume and copy/paste (and even rotate) it.

WOW!!
Thank you SO much for that !
i hadn't seen that sort of syntax example, combining nominal coordinates with the radius distance.
so; using @a 'solves' the "nearest player" issue with @p, because now the condition is set by the coordinate data.
i can confirm the above works exactly !
Thanks again !

i was trying to follow this example in the Gamepedia Tutorials;
https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Tutorials/Command_blocks_and_functions#As_a_Replacement_for_Pressure_Plates
but it fails - with a syntax error; 'Unexpected "@p": at "xecute if >>@p<<[distance="'
i have also changed the cmd_blk settings to; 'Impulse', 'Conditional', 'Always Active'.
meanwhile, i have tried to use an alternative by using syntax i know works along the pattern in another example (for Bedrock Edition);
which is : execute @e[c=3] ~ ~ ~ execute @p ~ ~ ~ summon zombie ~ ~ ~
so i tried;
execute @p <xPlt yPlt zPlt> execute @p say standingabovenow
where <nPlt> are the coordinates of the "invisible pressure plate"
but that didn't work - does anyone have some guidance for me ?
Thanks!
