    Your very welcome! Glad to help out.
    If your still getting compiler problems, I can help you out with the correct versions of the classes. It has been working well for me now.

    Ive got some basic diff/merge type tools setup now, so further updates should be less of a problem.

    Yup, thats exactly right. A Java "jar" file is just a zip file underneath. So it can be opened in most archive programs, like WinZip and just stuff all the mod files in there. :smile.gif:

    Edit: I will be a little more descriptive in any install instructions I put in there next time. :wink.gif:

    This does work on a mac, one of my friends is using it on his. As for installing, just get the modified classes and image into your "minecraft.jar" how ever you do that on a Mac. (And delete the "META-INF" inside the jar as always)

    Same as any other OS, I just don't know the Mac specifics of what software, if any, you need to use.

    Well, since so many people have asked for the just BetterLight version, I will get to work on that after class this morning. Should be done later today. (Its currently 8am my time)

    I have never used the Biome side-grass mod thingie but I will take a look at that one as well. And yikes 600+ downloads on my BL+BG fix...didn't expect that... O_O

    Your Client is throwing that error? Do you have any other mods installed that need ModLoader? Thats the only thing that would make sense.

    Not quite sure, start with fresh .jar files and try again is probably a good bet.

    Oh..thats wierd cause then if this update was meant to make it work for singleplayer, then why was I able to make the previous versions of wild grass work on singleplayer as well? And yes, it does work on singleplayer.


    The version 5.3 update was to add Minecraft Beta compatibility, the previous version before that was for Alpha 1.2.6
    It worked in single-player before, but not with the latest version of Minecraft. Now its caught up to the current version, Beta 1.1_02.

    As far as I know, none of them have supported multiplayer yet. (Aside from the little test server patch I made earlier today to try and do exactly this)

    Hardly tested, but it seemed to work fine for me. Tried with BOTH BetterLight and BetterGrass, I'm not sure what happens if you didn't install them both. If this doesn't work for you, just wait for the official one. :Sheep:

    I am not the creator of "Wild Grass" I just tweaked it to work with Bl+BG.

    The previous version of Wild Grass (5.2) had two additional versions that allowed for BetterLight/BetterGrass. The current Wild Grass (5.3) only has the normal version at the moment.

    I would hope that BL/BG support will return, but its not here yet.

    I have created a very basic server mod that will allow people using Wild Grass to see it on that server.

    Simply, if the server is using this little addition, a person with the Wild Grass mod in their client will be able to see the grass just like singleplayer. Anyone else using the server, who does not have Wild Grass in the client, will see no change. If you are running a server, feel free to give it a try.

    Of course, like normal, if you log into a server that is not using this there will be no grass.

    There is one small issue, upon generating a new world, the first time that a person logs in there will be a major slowdown. Not quite sure why this is yet, but if you leave and log back in everything is fine after that as far as I can see...

    Notice: This has been lightly tested by me and is not officially supported in any way at this time. All credits for this go to ejhopkins, its all his work. I just moved it into the server code with small corrections.

    I believe you need to use an editor that supports transparency. I use GMIP on linux, but I hear that Paint.NETis a good one? (Someone can correct me if that doesnt work)

    After that, just cut the section of the grass images, below crops, in your terrain.png to the custom one for your texture pack.

    The only thing that didn't seem to be working is re-obscuring to the actual minecraft.jar file names. It runs just standalone in eclipse though.

    DLing the new one. I've wanted to start modding, was waiting for this to come out :tongue.gif:

    Woo Hoo! New version of MCP works too, I got things mostly working. It grows, but the terrain.png is either loading from the wrong place or I broke something else.

    I get the "grass" but its the same as if it wasnt included in the image, just a weird pinkish square thing.

    Took about 5 mins guessing what to do, so I expect there will be an official update here shortly <3


    Edit: Oh dear, the download was made private it seems? I must have gotten before they changed it :/
