A few years ago, I ran a server that was a lot of fun for the few people that did play on it, and I am hoping to revive it.
The setting was a post nuclear world, where most everything had been destroyed and mobs had been mutated. Players' first spawns were in an underground bunker, and they were given kits. They left through an airlock that couldn't be opened from the outside. So once they left, they were stuck out there.
I used CityWorld to generate destroyed cities. I used Solar Apocalypse to make things more dangerous, and to try to simulate something like a nuclear winter. I used a mod, can't remember the name, that would generate 'boss' mobs, which were mobs that had unique names/abilities/etc and would drop unique loot (another mod that I can't remember generated the loot) when killed. I also used mcmmo, because it's always been one of my favorites. I also used the standard plugins like WorldGuard, PEX, Essentials, etc.
After some researching, it seems Spigot has largely replaced Bukkit, so that is what I will be using. I have found compatible versions of CityWorld, Solar Apocalypse, mcmmo, and a mod called Mythic Mobs which should make the 'boss' monsters I want.
Since I have been away for so long, I am coming here to ask what some other popular plugins might be that would suit a server like this. Any thoughts, suggestions, tips, or advice would be appreciated. Thanks for reading.
I have forwarded port 25565 on both TCP and UDP. I have Windows Firewall disabled.
I can connect to my server using my local 192.168.0.7 address from any machine on my network. I can connect to it using 127.0.0.1 on the local machine.
However, no one can connect using my external IP, not even local machines.
So... I've got a command block on my server. It's hooked up to a lever that also opens a door. When the lever is pulled, it spawns a boss at a location.
However, I only want players to be able to activate this block maybe every few hours.
Is there a way to set a 'cooldown' for command blocks?

That did the trick. Thank you.

My Minecraft freezes about a minute after trying to generate any kind of deep ocean biome.
Here are a couple F3 screenshots
I turned down the graphics settings all the way, and the same thing happens

Congrats...
you made a comment that adds nothing to the discussion and makes you look like a smug *****.

It is completely camouflaged to the wall, and requires no external switches to activate. Just a simple redstone torch.
See it on action yourself .
I've posted a picture album of the tutorial here.
You can download the world file from here.

However, I'd like to allow players to have inter-faction PvP once they join a faction.
How would I go about doing this? I already have Factions installed.
