    Hello, you contacted me about generating some traffic for this post. I'll make a banner or two, but don't expect anything as good as the ones I made for Rylecraft (I used to play on the server that died and is becoming Rylecraft, which is why I felt like contributing to Rylecraft).

    Do you have anything in mind for what you want on the banners?

    I had a problem with compatibility with forge, modloaderMP, and some other mods once. Turns out, the problem was Elemental Arrows. I think what I did was move Arrows to the last mod installed. Anecdote!!

    Idk what I'm talking about, but maybe there's a check that stronghold walls have to pass to be generated. What I'm saying is that Minecraft might keep a copy of the caves in memory, and each time a block in a stronghold appears, it checks if it it's already occupied by a cave in that copy. This is just speculation though.

    Thanks, but I think I'd prefer to figure it out on my own. Custom Stuff looks really fun, I can't wait to get started with it!

    One question, though. Did you have to add your own items, or manually script the spawning? I was hoping that the effect could be achieved just by editing a simple text file in minecraft.jar, without need for adding anything.

    Maybe his account was actually hacked? If there are no restrictions, then it seems to be the most obvious/believable explanation for what he seems to have described as being banned. I hope he gets motivated to get back into Minecraft/texturing though, since it doesn't sound like the thread locking/account breaking was the intention of Curse.

    Try the WorldDL mod. It doesn't add any extra stress to the server, is undetectable, etc. Is it stealing? Well, first of all, you built this, so you should be allowed to keep a copy for yourself. Secondly, if the owner refuses to give you the save file due to inconvenience in transfer, then he shouldn't mind this. If the owner refuses to hand you the file because he wants his copy to be the only one, then I don't think anyone would object to you "stealing" from him.

    Good luck, I'm posting because I know this will help the topic attract more views.

    Also, if you tell me a bit about some of the plans for RyleCraft, I could try and make a banner for people's signatures, which should help the thread in terms of popularity. Or you could describe a banner and I could make it, if you don't want to release any details of the server to anyone yet.

    You might want to get a profile pic, I've heard (and believe) that it helps to have a face to which users can associate a topic, server, or map.-rednelB, of the past Minefesto

    I can understand Mojang disabling spawn eggs for items and possibly experience orbs and potions (they allegedly caused crashes), but everything else is just fun. By doing this, they've closed off what could have been an entire genre of Capture the Flag maps that used pyros with TNT spawn eggs. They've from players everywhere stolen the idea of a minigame shooting zombies with fireball spawn eggs. No longer can you play a server game about killing mobs without exploding the entire building by hitting a ender-crystal, or create dispensers filled with sand spawners in order to build a wall.

    But perhaps there is hope.

    There are modders living in every corner of the world; as long as there are people playing Minecraft, and Java remains in wide use, the community will be able to mould the game to their liking. What I propose is a pair of mods, an option for server owners, as well as map-makers. I request that some modmaker out there creates a very simple mod. Or rather, 2 very simple mods removing what would presumably be a single line of code preventing spawn eggs for anything other than farm animals from functioning.

    The problem has never been the lack of people. It was not due to a lack of players that Mojang removed this feature, or that a mod have never been made for this. It was a lack of knowledge. People have been ignorant of this, because those of us who were aware of this when it was still around did not seek to spread the word.

    Spread the word. Bring back hacked spawn eggs.
