Why not make them invincible? I don't understand how that breaks the theme of the game. If the desync issues weren't prevalent, then perhaps durability would make sense. As it stands now, you can't avoid hitting things so making the boats break is just punishment for what I consider a bug, the desync issues.
Making boats drop boats when they break? Why? What purpose does that serve besides making me have to place the boat and get back in. Just make them stop when they hit something.
At the very least. Make then stack. Since I have to carry a bunch of boats with me to replace the ones that constantly break....save me some precious inventory space. IRL, boats usually stack together quite well, one inside the other.

There is an obsidian boats mod. It works in lava and gives you a temporary fire resistance buff, I assume so you don't burn to death when you get out of the boat. They are also unbreakable.

Sorry to say, I'm still seeing a crash on the server, although a little different.

I'm trying to recreate some of the first night challenges from this mod in 1.12. I'm preventing players from punching wood and they have to make some flint tools to progress.
I'm wondering if you would mind if I used a couple of your textures? Specifically, the flint knife and leather strips. I'm not using them in a mod, just a re-texturing other items via a resource loading mod (so I don't have to include a texture pack). Right now it's just for my personal use but if this ever became a publicly available modpack, I wanted to make sure I had your permission to use your textures.
Thank you for your consideration.

I'm seeing a crash with the new 1.12 version. https://pastebin.com/ib7DEK00
I'm using Forge 2413.
Thank you!

I don't see a link to an issue tracker so I'm posting here.
I'm getting a crash when the mod tries to register dimensions. http://pastebin.com/ukLZ5cBL
This is with druidry(2016.9.26)(1.9.4) and forge 2185. At first I thought it was a dimenional ID conflict but I've removed all other mods and I'm still seeing this crash.
Thank you.

If anyone is interested, I created a little mod that adds in a GPS item. It's just an item to use as the required hotbar item for Xaero's Minimap. I wanted something a little more 'techie' than a compass. Full disclosure, when I say I created it, I used MCCreator (don't judge me, can't code). But I did make the graphic file. If anyone wants to use it, you can grab it from https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bx3Y_-bo0ApCb1VzejFRamdQRVk.
The line to add into the config is - minimapItemId:gpsitem:GPS
I did put in a basic vanilla recipe for the GPS but I plan to actually make it harder to acquire by using some mod items If you want to change the recipe, use something like CraftTweaker.

You are right. I meant to reference the bone encrusted tools from the mod, which do require the leather strip when crafting.
I'm using CraftTweaker to remove the vanilla tool recipes and adding them with the leather strip requirement. Now if I could just turn off those plant fiber drops.....

Loving this mod. Originally I was using your Craftable Waypoints mod as I like the minimap and waypoints to be something you have to earn/craft vs just have when the world loads. The only thing missing was a minimap and the fact I can't toggle the Craftable Waypoints from displaying.
Then I discovered this mod. I've used MCCreator (ya I know) to create a mod with a single item, the GPS, which I've made to be required in the hotbar for the minimap to work. (I really love that feature)
This makes the minimap and waypoints something you have to work towards. All good except for the teleport feature. This is on a server and I have a few people who have OP status, which means they have unlimited use of the teleport feature....something which I do not want. I was wondering if you'd consider a config option to disable this?
Edit: Just realized I can change the TP command in the server's config file. This should break the ability for people to use the TP function....and I can live with the command error in chat.
One other little thing, I'm not sure if intended. I can still access the waypoints menu when I'm not holding the required item in the hotbar. Not a huge deal, as they don't display until you have the item. It just allows adding waypoints before crafting the item. A tiny bit cheaty in my eyes. Just thought I'd let you know.
Thanks again for such a great mod!

Well thanks for working on your ToDo list and sharing your work with us. I like the increased difficulty it adds early game and the fact that it works really well with some other mods. I'm using Rough Tweaks that turns off health regen. You have to craft salves and bandages to repair your health. Those require vines and your knives just so happen to allow collecting vines. I'm loving it. Plus those Dire Slimes (I think they are called that) from Ender Zoo when digging dirt blocks by hand makes getting rocks/flint for your first tools that much harder. I also used your leather strips in some recipes I added in. We can craft saddles now! =)
Funny, you mentioned using the leather strips for all of the vanilla tools and that's what I'm doing. I never liked that iron just magically stuck on a stick so I've tweaked all those recipes. Great mod, thanks again!

I am definitely seeing rocks dropping while breaking grass. I was just testing last night to see if I could use CraftTweaker (a continuation of MineTweaker3) to remove the plant fiber drops from breaking grass (I can't it's not registered as a seed) and I'm seeing the occasional rock when breaking grass in my test world.
I can run some test with all the other mods removed and see if I can duplicate that in a bit.
As for the delay in throwing rocks. I can see why you'd want to prevent that machine gun like action and agree. It really seems to be about 3-4 seconds though. Maybe it's just my setup.
Update: Just pulled all the mods except JEI and Realistic Survival. Spawned in some tall grass with bonemeal. Broke 20ish tall grass and I now have 2 granite rocks and 1 diorite rock (as well as some seeds and plant fibers). So assuming that's a bug...I'd like to change my original request to being able to turn off the plant fiber drops if you feel so inclined. =)

I'd also love to see some config options for the tall grass drops. I'd like to force players to get rocks from breaking grass dirt blocks vs breaking tall grass. Since I have Ender Zoo installed, breaking grass blocks by hand can spawn a mob, creating more difficulty. Yes, I'm cruel. =)
And another question. Is there supposed to be a delay when throwing rocks? It seems to have a 3-4 second cool down.

The recipe for the flint knife uses cord but the iron knife does not, which makes the recipe conflict with the iron chisel in the Chisel mod. Perhaps you would consider adding in the cord to resolve that? Having fun with you mod, thanks for your work.

I'd love to see an update for this mod to 1.8.9. It would go along so well with Hardcore Darkness. Thanks for considering it!

That chunk flicker sounds like an issue with Optifine and Multi-thread chuck loading. When I turn that on (and don't adjust the video cards settings as described here) I get chunks that flicker in and out.

I should have submitted this to the GitHub, sorry. Seems you got it fixed before I got around to checking this thread again. Thanks for the quick work.
I would be happy to test your future releases on my server, to see if I can break anything. =)
