I love the glowstone/water idea. First of all, its the complete opposite of the nether (glowing, fragile, blocks vs. hard, dark obsidian & cool water vs. hot fire). Second, it means you have to travel to the nether first, adding some sort of challenge to finally get to the aether. Finally, the fact that you have to make the portal from water means it cant be created in the nether and assuming fire is non-existent in the aether, nether portals cant be created there. Thus keeping the fast travel system intact and preventing a slur of problems i assume would be associated with nether portals in the aether and vice versa
the problem with glowsotne is that it is to week to withstand the strains placed on it by sustaining a portal.
i hope that the moders create a new material that is simaler to glowstone but much stronger.
anything signaficantly weeker then would be ripped to shreds by the portal.
also the strain from the portal increases exponentialy with increased distance.
so a nether-aether portal would shred anything weeker then .

change craft has come to a bit of a stand still, people keep complaining its too bright. it's meant to be bright it's meant to be plain and it's meant to be different. sorry i'm just a bit depressed and annoyed about it :sad.gif:
