I don't know if it counts but I've completed franchise mode in Madden 2008, for PC, over 50 times. 35 seasons up to 20 games a season with 2, 5, or 7 minute quarters.
I used to play constantly sometimes completing entire seasons in a day if I was playing 2 minute quarters. I don't play nearly as much anymore but I still play 1-3 games a day depending on RL. The quickest I ever completed a full franchise was less than a month.

Apr 13, 2014I use a pencil and a piece of paper. No extra programs running the background and only takes me seconds to check if I need it. Now though I can get back from just about anywhere without having to check cords.Posted in: Discussion
Apr 13, 2014ra7c7er posted a message on anyone agree that Gskill Ripjaws X 8GB (4GBx2) is good?My personal favorites are Mushkin, GeIL, and Hynix (for server memory). Right now my rig has G.Skill memory (because it was on sale) but a Mushkin spreader because G.Skill couldn't make a functional spreader if they tried. Fancy looking yes but functional hardly. It also has tons of problems with stability during OC. Something I am annoyed about since I've never had any trouble with Mushkin or GeIL.Posted in: Computer Science and Technology
I don't listen to hype I tend to look at specs and price point and find people that have actually used the memory to get reviews.

1. I have built my own computer. I think I know what I am doing...
You may have built your own computer, but anyone can really do that these days watching youtube videos, seriously.
While the above poster was right but not much detail was given except stop what your doing and research things first, i agree you should research how minecraft runs and it you plan on having mods also research into those, mods is a whole another kettle of fish.
This is comming from someone who ran a 100+ player server for a year...
2.What do you think would be a decent processor? I have found this one for cheap ($60)
Intel Core I7-920 SLBCH /SLBEJ Quad Processor 2.66ghz 8m Socket 1366 CPU **
Nope, If you had researched you would know the answer, however ill help you
Minecraft runs on a single core/thread on a multicore processor, so those extra cores wont do anything
What you need is high clock speed processor for faster single thread processing. ie 3Ghz +
for best playability, otherwise look into hosting, if your not keen on that then overclock your processor
make sure you research overclocking or you will lose your pc.
3.Would this be a good RAM fan?
G.SKILL FTB-3500C5-D Fan
Ram Fans are useless unless your doing serious number crunching like intel burn test or prime95, you wont need it.
4. The server I was renting from mcprohosting was about 6$ a month with 500mb of ram and was holding about 4 players at a time I think with 12 times the ram the server can hold 20 players.
MC Hosting providers are made to not deal with the hassle of setting a server up, most them base their statistics on Vanilla minecraft and ran pricing per slot. what you need to look for is a hosting company that give you stats of the processor. also keep an eye on the ram. Generally for best experience you will want less cores, more Ghz ie 3+ and decent amount of ram lets say 6Gb. with this is vanilla and the right amount of tweaking, you could in theory run 50 players. mind you this is just theory.
5. I know there is more than just RAM and a processor to a server but I have all the other parts allready
You're right its more than just ram and processor, other parts do not matter anyway, to get the best performance out of your server is going to take time and effort, profiling your server ( if you can ) is the best way to start, research on how to profile your server work out what is slowing it down, elimiate the problem or find work arounds. then tweak it even more for performance. Nothing is handed out to you on a silver platter these days.
Hope this helps into the insight of make a great server.
If he was going to use the ram he first mentioned on a server handling 20+ players then yes he would need a fan. I didn't say ram fans were needed in every application just in what he was posting. With a under powered and over loaded server you better believe you need ram fans.
Plus on a server more cores are a good thing. Hence why high end server boards use two processors. Perhaps on a solo use Minecraft server it's not as needed but more cores are never a bad thing.

Not hard, just ridiculously time consuming. And i'd say it's harder to find a stronghold if you want to get books, as unless you do something cheesy like use a seed that you know the stronghold coordinates of or use AMIDST to find the stronghold.
Isn't the point of the game to take time to do things. To feel accomplishment of completing something. If I wanted everything handed to me I'd play PtW games. Taking the time to do things is what makes the game interesting and fun. And as I've already said leather comes from horses to. So you already have multiple sources of leather. It's also fairly common in dungeon chests.
Leather isn't hard to find (cows are everywhere) and it's hardly time consuming compared to doing other things. Just breed cows it might take an hour or two of game play but that's nothing in the grand scheme of Minecraft.
Apr 13, 2014I enjoy using the Acacia trees in the game. And I find lots of uses for the planks and the grey wood. It makes great contrast when building.Posted in: Recent Updates and Snapshots
For people who are so creative playing a game that is all about being creative I'm surprised their is so much negative going on about one of the unique items in the game. Just because you can't find a use for it doesn't mean other people haven't. I dislike birch wood but I'm not putting in on blast for everyone to see.

To be fair, balance is already pretty broken to the point where making enchanting easier (y'know, like they did in the snapshots) would be crossing the Godzilla Threshold. That is to say, it's already so broken that it would barely make a difference (though if some of the balance issues were fixed, it most certainly would make a difference).
IMO, bookcases are too expensive because of the leather requirement, which is justified since they're used for enchanting, but it makes building with them outside of creative a hassle and attempting to increase the drop rate of leather to make building with them practical (and to make leather an option beyond extravagance) would make enchanting even easier than it will be in 1.8 which is bad if Mojang ever gets around to rebalancing the game (which, if their current trend stays, will never happen). I suppose this could be fixed somewhat if enchanting uses a different type of bookcase (like, I don't know, an ender bookcase or something) that has it's own expensive recipe, which will allow Mojang to increase the leather drop rate without imbalancing enchanting.
Bookcases are hardly expensive. All you have to do is find a stronghold and you will have more books than you can do anything with. Just because it's expensive to craft doesn't make it hard to get.
I don't see how anything in minecraft is hard to get. Both cows and horses give leather. So make a small farm breed them and then kill them. Problem solved.

Your sword broke in the wilderness, but you don't want to make another crafting table.
Or a creeper blew up a part of your slab scaffolding. You're high up and you don't want to bother getting down.
Or you dropped your bowl into lava, and you can't make any more mushroom stew.
I want to introduce the Saw -a simple utiliy that allow you to craft simple items on the run. The saw is used as a crafting ingredient, and loses durability every use. It has 50 uses. It is crafted so.
Keeping a "saw" in your inventory is the same as keeping a crafting table and takes up the same amount of space. I see no need for this. No support.

Do you mean that you don't support, but would still like to see a flying mob? (If so, please tell me why you don't, so I can fix it)
Or do you mean that you don't support because it is not in the overworld (When it is in the overworld.)
I don't support it as a transportation of goods mob, but I do like the idea of a flying mob in the overworld.

Any movie (of any quality) would have to have more than one main character. Even movies like Castaway had other stuff going on. I mean a movie about a guy living alone in the wilderness where everything wants to kill you and your only companionship is wild animals and said creatures that want to kill you has pretty much been done before by every settler that moved west during the great expansion. So just watch the history channel.
