You could have probably tweeted him that one suggestion...
I doubt he reads these forums, so best do that then...

May 1, 2011These ideas would be great! For a hardcore mode for Minecraft. Yes, the adventure/survival portion of the game is SEVERELY lacking, but your ideas would take it to the point where it would only appeal to certain people, with certain tastes.Posted in: Survival Mode
So yes, I would like to see these ideas happen, but only if they are optional. This game already has an image as a sandbox building game, with some survival aspects in it, no need to change that to the point where it gets reversed.
May 1, 2011Holy moly, I didn't know this thing was still active. I guess I've been too busy playing EVE online to notice XDPosted in: Suggestions
Anyways, thanks for all your responses and such. I'm sorry I can't read every response from the last time I checked this thread, but thanks for them anyways :biggrin.gif:
But thanks for that review person-who-pm'ed me.

Apr 16, 2011Posted in: Survival ModeQuote from CactusMan »I don't think Minecraft needs to "change". I've been playing Minecraft for more than five months, and I don't think any other game has kept me entertained for so long... Not that I remember.
Change is good, most of the time.
Apr 16, 2011Posted in: Survival ModeQuote from Stewiecraft »He makes valid points, but I think some people need to realize no game is perfect. Every game will start to bore people eventually, and if you had a long, fun run with Minecraft why the ****ign hell can't people just be satisfied instead of thinking it needs to be better. EVEN IF all the ideas he had were implemented, he would get bored after another month or less just as everyone else would.
Because most humans strive for more.
Personally, I stopped playing MC awhile back due to lack of interest (Though I still try to be informed on the development of MC), and his ideas really do interest me.

I know, right?
But yeah, it brings up some nice points on the game while maintaining a non-LOLMINECRAFTBADGAEM attitude, so its a good read.

Hopefully some of you guys know who davidr64 is, and are/were a fan of his MC series. :biggrin.gif:
I just wanted to share this post of his with you guys to see whether or not you agree with his sentiments.
I will warn you guys, its a wall of text, but try and read anyways, it has great ideas, at least in my opinion, and I believe it deserves some attention.
If you guys agree with him, link the post to Notch via twitter, or post it on Reddit. Spread the word!
Apr 10, 2011But yeah, so far, pretty cool. More land like the first map would be awesome.Posted in: Survival Mode
But again, a map generator for this would be amazing.
Apr 10, 2011Posted in: Survival ModeQuote from GunboatDebater »Shall we make a challenge from this?
Sure! I'll make the thread.
Edit: I just tried out the new map, I think it seems a little too easy to survive on. We need more Loop Far Land, Stack Far Land is a little too much like home XD
Apr 10, 2011Posted in: Survival ModeQuote from TheGameOfLife »This has over twice as much of the wonky terrain as the last one. Exploring the farlands is pretty fun.
Edit: I suggest replacing the old map with this, or just adding this too, this has more of an experience to it, and takes longer to reach normal landscapes.
Again, good job!
How many chunks are there?
