    IC2 would need to invoke the new methods for the effects to apply to its own sources, so there's no way to really fix it on my end without screwing up a lot of other stuff.

    That said, here's a patch to fix the issue: bsm_v.0.0.6_industrialcraft-2-client_1.70b_patch.zip. (This goes into the ic2 mod jar, not the minecraft jar mind you).

    I've also updated all the optifine patches and released another small update. I went ahead and made it so the nether/the end will never attenuate reverberations (as opposed to always (for the meantime)), made water attenuate sound a lot more, and changed a bunch of other things no one will notice. :Pig:
