(Edit nevermind I didn't fully understand what you where trying to say Please disregard this entire post)
You would either need to use a lever or a T-Flip Flop for what you want to do. The way you currently have it set up won't do what you want it to do. You could do this. Put redstone torches directly below the sticky pistons (On the top of the block) put two redstone repeaters facing the two blocks the redstone torhes are standing on. Put two peices of redstone connecting the two inputs of the repeaters and connect the two peices of redstone to the output of a T-Flip Flop. And lastly connect the two buttons to the input of the T-Flip Flop.
Also if your wondering what a T-Flip Flop is it just basicly alternates the output every time you power the input IE if you connect a button to a T-Flip Flop and press it it'll power the input, and the input will stay powered until you press the button again
I heard it from my brother he said "hey did you know theirs a game called minecraft and you can create anything you want in it" and i said "Cool ill try it out" after a bought it i was like "THIS GAME IS AMAZING!" and that's what got me started
I got it took me 50 shots and the skellie kept going out of distance but I got it!. and then I reset my Jar. Oh and Bbqpizza I did it on Normal render distance.
My biggest fear is leaving this world without a big bang (No i dont want to blow up a city). That and cats (childhood trauma) Edit: oh and black hole's i know tons about them scare the living bahgibbiez out of me
Ive had a couple of those one of wich I was being chased by something I was scared of in my childhood and I noticed "Hey this is my dream!" and i turned around and shot it in the face with a laser cannon. It died instanly
