Hello i been banned for not hacking by SDangle and would like to be unbanned the reason why was apparanet x-ray now i am pretty sure in ,my defence i prove i can be unbanned but i SDAngle won't let me for no reason and some don't even make sense i only raged once in my posts and the was 1 out of 10 soon to be 11 and all of SDAngles comments back always avoided the issuse at hand and when i remade his he replyed "you know i have x-ray and can do - vanish well i know that and tell me this when i do a simply 4x4 hole down dose that count as x-raying no because i also mined all the ores on the way now on other servers i dug and didn't go for the ores so it would be a trap and kill people but i was mining in a corner of b try for the chance and the ONE out of how many blocks i find it well it was really 4 out of idk but still that pretty lucky right becuase a simply 4 hole would give you a good chance but at that time i had no idea that it was a sting and raid operation and was not even hacking or x-raying but still got banned for it when i did nothing wrong.ok now it come to my matter that i am going to push on and that is if you get banned for no reason by SDAngle he will just say no even if your right hell i could of killed him in a nonpvp zone i would no push it EVEN if i did x-ray i would not push it THE only reason i am PUSHING this matter forward is BECAUSE i did nothing wrong and i mean i don't try for virus by trying to get hack i have no protection as it is the last thing i need is a virus so i don't use them but the thing is SDAngles increasing stubborness keeps people like me who get banned for no reason from getting back in! it is unfair that he gets to avoid the issue at hand by simply just saying comments that make no sense to the post on a unban apeal it descrease the ammount of player who did nothing wrong and got banned from getting back in hell SDAngle even banned a another person 2 times both with a new account it show him no caring about the abusive of the rule but in the first quote he was bending rules to jail a free person and in the second it brings up me reason he is too stubborn to be a good gaurd because he won't admit when he is wrong i have had it that the only reason i own money to my friend (in game money and i can't pay him back and it is unfair becuase I DID NOTHING WRONG and this guy is too stubborn to unban me WHEN I AM RIGHT he says that he knows x-ray well really you banned me when i don't and you don't admit too it hell you walked all over me thinking you can do whatever you want i hate it because if i was a gaurd and he was right i would unban him but noo i had to get a crappy stubborn gaurd who can't admit he is wrong and good proof of that bended the rules and jailed a free man then when he called him out he gave some bs typing that pretty much is horriable of a exuse to say and show he is not following the rules but he got called out and gave a avoided post the Gorea can't do crap about because it is not a ban and then skinnywhiteman went and even said in the second quote and i repeat "your right Gorea,but he is stubborn as hell,don't try and win a battle,HE WON'T ADMIT BEING WRONG." there seems to be quite a lot of drama going on in this topic about x-ray banns and banns for "useless" mods, thus I felt like writing something which I have written a couple of times before when I worked on different servers.
Builder has done a great job here explaining the rules and why unbanning from x-raying is unlikely etc, if you think this is unfair you have to think with some logical reasoning, It's all about risk and numbers.
lets give a few examples (some of these apply to the server and some are taken from my past experience of dealing with people as warden on other servers),
Example 1:
Player A gets banned for X-raying as he was spotted digging straight to a chest full of valuables, he requests to be unbanned as he states that he was just taking a guess after being informed that treasure was around the place, using logic one will find that the chance that this person is x-raying or found it by dumb luck are not exactly 50/50, as long as the chest was under cover and Player A dug straight to it the chance that he is not using x-ray would be 4/(x*z) where x and z are the dimensions in blocks of the mine in question, 4 over because digging 2 blocks down would reveal at least 4 blocks, this number is arbitrary however and could be replaced if you want to get really precise. the thing is, the chance is very likely that this player A is x-raying and very unlikely that he was lucky, there are plenty of players on the server and if player A was x-raying he would be having a big advantage while ruining other peoples chances, the high likeliness that Player A was using X-ray combined with the fact that it would ruin multiple people's chances on the server led to his ban, I have encountered this scenario before with a prison server which had 1 emerald block in their rather large mine and a player jumped into the freshly reset and randomized mine and dug straight to it, same formula.
Example 2:
Player B states that he was using a derp mod he coded himself, besides the obvious possibility of asking him to give his java script this problem can also be solved by looking at the chance that the mod came with the Nodus client, which is very very likely. A warden now knows that there is a huge chance that this player is walking around with all kinds of hacks at their fingertips and it is thus logical to ban the player in favor of other peoples chances, both in mining and combat. also, it is clearly stated in the rules that no other mods then optifine are allows, 3 reasons.
I hope this will help clear up the mind-set that I think went into the making of the rules on basically every server to begin with, I don't mean to say that I know exactly what people got banned for, just trying to make it sound logical =)
