    posted a message on smpl
smpl is a pack made with a custom palette, but focuses mainly on blue. It has a complete flat look, and does not distract you while playing. Currently, only the GUI is finished, but you can go ahead and check out the translucent and opaque versions either in the screenshots below, or in-game. If you would like to show support, please use one of the banners located at the bottom. Feel free to give any suggestions and/or constructive criticism!

posted a message on Looking to start a modding team
I'm looking to create a team of modders that can make mods under the team's name, as well as their own. Anyone who can mod is welcome, even if you're just learning. I want the team to teach new modders and people looking to get into modding, and just help them out. I personally don't know any languages, and don't really care to. My main role would be to control the politics, run the pages, and give detailed information about the mods we create. I also have a few ideas for mods, but any other ideas are welcome. If you are interested, please send me a private message detailing your experience, and linking to any mods you have made or helped make.

I could probably do that - would you want it to require Forge or ModLoader?

I'd rather it require ModLoader. It's a lot easier for people to install.

I know there are a few of these out there, but I'm thinking of one that is harder to make. This would be for users playing in a modded survival world, where they have to work for the things they want.

The recipe would go like this:

Wood Planks | Nether Star | Wood Planks
Diamond Block | Dragon Egg | Emerald Block
Wood Planks | Saddle | Wood Planks

The recipe I came up with has some of the rarest items in the game. I think it would make it a little more fair to those who wish to control the time and other things without having to spawn them in. It would also be great for teleporters.

posted a message on Binary Translator
    Quote from edmurzinho

This is a Binary to Decimal decoder. Not trying to disappoint you, but there are lots of different designs, that are faster, more compact, and infinite expandable, since minecraft alpha. This is very, very usefull on computers and lots of other stuff.
Don't be sad, my first one was also like your, and it was only 2-bit. I needed it to select between 4 different outputs. Just later that i discovered that it was a 2 bit binary to decimal decoder!

You just had an idea in mind for something, and you did it, so... Good work!

Thank you. I was pretty sure something like this had been done, but this is really my first time doing something of this size and complexity with Redstone. I'm proud that I figured out how to do it myself, and it makes me feel good inside :D

    F.A.Q.
    What is a Binary Translator?
A Binary Translator takes a binary number and sends it to one or more outputs. The one I have built is only 3-bit, with numbers going up to 7. The 1 will go to one signal, the 2 to another, and so on.

What can this be used for?
It can be used for the displaying of numbers, and much more. Use your imagination!

    Has this been done before?
Not to my knowledge, but if it has, let me know!

posted a message on We mac users need Skin Viewer/Editors too!
    Quote from KaosC57

there is a simple solution to every issue with minecraft and macs... buy a PC. PC always works with EVERYTHING

    personal computer
    noun
a microcomputer designed for individual use, as by a person inan office or at home or school, for such applications as word processing, data management, financial analysis, or computer

According to the definition of a personal computer, or PC, a Mac would be considered a PC.

You saying buy a PC instead of a Mac is like me saying "Buy shoes, not Nikes."

Anyways, I might as well go ahead and make this all simple for you:

posted a message on New World Mods for 1.3.2?
Are there any mods like the Aether available for 1.3.2 or are being updated?

I posted this here before I realized there is a request section. Could a mod possibly move it for me, please? Also, I think all things to do with mods should be together, and not separated by the texture pack sections.

I have a server set up with jjservers.com, but I can't figure out how to upgrade to 1.3. I tried to send them a request, but I kept getting error 500. So, does anybody know how to upgrade the server?

Good concept, but I think some of the blocks could use borders. I hate when I can't tell where two blocks meet from afar.

    Quote from OneWingedPie

what and expect everyone to be like "ooh its great!| "amazing!" HA! and "keep my crap to myself" I'd rather not, I will say whatever I want about anyones work, why? because I'm an honest person and hate sugar coating things, its called CRITICISM and I suggest you deal with it because your gonna get a lot of it, why? because its natural here and it happens to everyone

The only good criticism is constructive criticism. If you stopped being an ass and telling xXRadiationz that he/she has no talent and sucks, and started to give tips in a kind manner of how he/she could improve the pack; you may actually have an effect on something.

posted a message on Mindcrack Online Players Mod/Plugin?
    Quote from bowers12

Well, I think that might not be a plugin, in game on any server, (at least in my experiences,) the list of players can usually be accessed by pressing & holding tab, but I may be wrong.

And here I thought it was a mod ^-^

But is there any way to show the hearts, or is that in a hardcore only server?

posted a message on Mindcrack Online Players Mod/Plugin?
If anyone has seen anything from the Mindcrack server, you would know about the "Online Players Mod" that shows who is online, and their connection. In the UHC series, it shows their hearts.

    IMAGE

I would like to either have the actual mod/plugin if anybody knows what it's called, or a copy of it.

I simply want the one that just shows who's online and their connection. I love the look of the Mindcrack mod, and I would like it to look like that.

Thanks to anyone that can help,
    Zach

I prefer Productions Resolute's because it shows something made by the community. As a graphic designer myself, I prefer the simple looking, yet amazing designs. I also love the perfect kerning and leading. Spoonfork99's is a close runner-up for me, though.
