The object of the game is to make money selling anything you find or craft in the wilderness. Sell items at the market in town or sell to someone else via auctions, player to player sales or selling at other players' shops. Take the money and buy plots available in the city and develop your own property in Metropolis City or buy/rent an apartment or condo and enjoy the city life.
We here at M.C. want to focus on quality, and in order to grow our server into a large community we believe its best to provide a fun and easy to understand game experience. In order to do this, we are focusing all of our efforts, money and time on the survival server. With help though, mini-games are in our future. We have the plugins and the maps, just need to grow the team and get more financial support.
The server has all the standard plugins including essentials, iConomy, log block, chest shop, mcMMO, preciousStones, Houses, LotteryPlus, and a few others as well.

I noticed that autorank plugin has been discontinued, and now that im using PermissionsEx I am looking for a new plugin to rank people up by time played. For instance, after 5 hours rank them up from new member to regular player. Something like that. I have the ranks already created in PermissionsEx but im not sure how to set it to rank people up by time played.

I get more frustrated the more I look at their website, realizing I gave them $38 of mine.
They dont have a phone # to call. They havent even made an announcement since March of this year, and there are zero posts in their general forum. Makes me wonder how many employees they actually have, and how many customers they actually have?
Is the Multi-Craft control panel down right now? I can't seem to load it up, keeps giving me an error in Chrome saying can't find page.
Edit: It's still down as of 1pm EST and there have been no announcements or anything to state what's happening. I don't know if this is affecting the server at all since I'm at work and can't login to check, but I would like to be able to monitor the server while I'm away.

My #1 pet peeve with the ticket system is that it allows the company to take pages of your ticket and not read most of it and reply with generic 1 sentence emails, and then you dont even know if 'replying' to the message will work or if youre gonna get a mailer daemon in a few days....there's all this time wasted. Why so inefficient?
Ive been using HostBlaze for 1 week now and i've had to send about 10 tickets in.
1 ticket I sent was a priority ticket, my admin decided to ruin a bunch of jar files and slightly ingeniously screw up all my files just every so slightly so they wont work, and I made a ticket to HostBlaze that I need my PW changed IMMEDIATELY because their password option is so unclear.
Normally to change a PW you type in your old PW then the new PW 2 times. With HostBlaze it doesnt even say change PW, it looks like a login screen and just asks you for your email, your servername (why???) and then your password.
It doesnt even specify that its your new pw or old pw, just says password. And you click save once, and somehow, that is how you change your PW On hostblaze.
I tried that but the PW didnt change, so I wrote hostblaze back AGAIN telling them its been over 24 hrs and my account has just been constantly hacked and all they could was was sorry, but please go to change your password.
On my 3rd ticket after I showed them screenshots of their poor pw/change site, and how it wasnt working or me, they still wouldnt change my pw. I told them, PLEASE just change it to anything, its an emergency. And, they did........NOTHING.
Now, I cant even show you the screenshot of that stupid page because their entire MultiCraft page is down. I cant even get the page to load on 3 browsers or on my ipod touch or my friends laptop.
What does the ever so useless host-blaze ticket do for me? After writing my problem out in a 1 page description with screenshots detailing how my FTP wont let me login to their FTP host, as well as the MultiCraft panel wont work in any browers (all of the sudden-never had an issue and all other webpages loading fine), they wrote this back:

Look at that! No step by step instructions or any help. Apparently clearing your DNS cache is a daily routine with which we are all familiar! Hooray!
That didnt work either, I told them im cancelling if they dont fix this problem immediately. We'll see what they say or dont say.
I have a 4gb server and sometimes when I am the only one online, its still lagging.

I've always loved city building and designing, and Metropolis City MC is the place where it all came together. I've spent over 300 hours building this city and another 100 hours setting up the server through its beta testing week and now we are ready to go live with over 20 regular users each day we're looking to expand now that we've upgraded to 5GB of server space.
I am currently seeking a plug-ins manager/admin who can mostly help with donation shop/game plug-ins. Not too much with in game help but just fine tuning all the plugins properly and controlling them as they update.
There is money involved for good, dependable admin who can get the job done. I don't want anyone to apply for this job unless they are at least 18 years old. That is very strict. If you are not 18, don't bother. I am setting up a serious server that has plenty of money backing it, I just need a solid foundation and dependable staff.

With over 30 working plugins right now, the server has a very city life type of theme. with mcMMO and essentials allowing you the basic role-playing and transport/controls around the map, you have everything you need to get started upon joining.
First start out as a homeless wanderer. You will learn your way around the city, meet fellow travelers, and discover different places you can go within the city. After you know your way around, make your way out to the wilderness and start building your country home.
Mine for items, sell your items, or buy others' items to build up your country plot and make enough cash to purchase a city plot! The 50x50 suburban plots allow you to build around the edge of the downtown area.
If you get REAL serious about Metropolis City, you can donate to get plots right smack dab in the downtown area of the city and become one of its developers.
Build a skyscraper and operate your shop or service business, hold your stock and wealth at the N.M.C. Savings Bank to make a small interest, sell drugs or other commodities found within the server or wander out into the wilderness and create your own empire.
With a civic minded perspective, I've recreated a new city from the original map Metropolis.
The buildings are 3x larger than before, raising up to the sky at 255 and being used out of every material possible.
I've recreated a number of famous buildings including The Empire State building, Petronas, Towers, Burj al-Arab (Sailboat hotel), Sears Tower, Trump Tower, Chrysler building as well as original buildings that I have created on my own and a few edited buildings I have found along the way.
I hope you will find this new map much cleaner, neater, and easier to find your way around with a beautiful, spacious infrastructure with a subway, and sewer system to make getting around the city clean and convenient!
Stay tuned because I just wanted to release this as 1.0 so my followers from the first map have something new to check out, but the real progress is yet to come over the next 2-3 weeks before I complete the 1.5 update which will have 2 large and improved cruise ships and a ship terminal, as well as an airport, and other civil facilities and residential developments. For me the best thing is when you can immediately chat with someone somehow or get easy access to commands without having to read 20 signs and go through a giant yes/no maze. Most people agree its the people that make the difference
Not to be too general, but it's fun to go on google images and have another google open and type 'different architecture styles' or 'house styles' and copy and paste those into the google images bar and then save the images that you like. I have a folder with over 300 photos of buildings all over the world and skylines and stuff, even just pictures of a city street to get a feel for the ambiance that im about to re-create in Minecraft.

Hi im Ponch. Im 29 years old and have quite a bit of experience playing on Minecraft surviva and pvp servers but have decided to create my own server with a city theme.

That is a sample of the online version. The online version I have created is not on a flat map, its on a survival map, and I have integrated all the buildings you see in the single player map into the hilly 3-d survival map, with many more additions as well.
I am looking for admins to help me run the server at first before we get volunteers. I am willing to pay $5/week for a good admin (16+) who comes on each day for a little bit and helps with plugin fine tuning, answering questions for noobs, and also helping create the server's theme and adding to the downtown area of the city/spawn.
