Its a "pure vanilla" server, which means no command like TP, no plugins like economy or claims
Its also true anarchy, meaning no anti cheats, no bans, no rules
We are in the final public beta of the server, just making sure theres no bugs or glitches with our server, but its open and online 24/7 so come play and say hi
The map is 1.17,
I will be resetting the map for the 1.18 release to take advantage of the new terrain changes,
but feel free to come and put the server to the test .
Posted a few days ago, but so far responses have been slow
Im slowly building myself a small network server setup
I have hosted a few small servers in the past, but i want to do something more long term, and have a few different ideas going
So im looking at making a server network, small games like different survival and creative modes, maybe some minigames, and my long term goal of a RPG server (which may or may not happen)
Im looking for a small team who would be interested in joining in early on and helping get the server up and running
You would need to know how to find, configure and test plugins
how to "moderate" a server, eg keep the players happy
and for a few trusted people how to run the server, eg start, stop, error checking etc
Note: I wont be giving out any admin level ranks straight away, that will come with time as i get to trust people more
Nothing worse then having some guy I dont know go rouge and destroy everything
If your interested in helping, let me know and we can go though a few questions
Even if you have no experience running servers, but your still interested, then let me know as well, as if your willing to learn, im willing to have you on the team
Disclaimer, this will be a unpaid position, as at current I am funding the server costs etc from my own pocket and not making any money in return
If we get to a point where donations cover the running costs etc, then there may be a split of any donations so you may get a bit of money in return, but for now this would be because you enjoy running servers, not because you want to make money
I have been wanting to make a server network for a while
I have run a few smaller servers for years on and off, but now i want to take it to the next level and have a few different server types running under a single name (Like how hypixel does)
I'm looking for "staff" to help setup, run, maintain, and keep the server alive
At the moment im looking for people who have server experience
(either for another server, or your own)
An understanding of plugin setup, and basic server maintenance is preferred
Please note i wont be taking on just anyone, you would need to show you can do what is asked
Also I wont be giving anyone OP status or admin rankings to begin with
To get access to admin commands you would need to earn my trust first, but if you show yourself as trustworthy then ill be adding a few admins to help keep the network running
Im also looking for some discord gurus to help setup and maintain a discord server for the network
same as above, you would ideally need to know how discord servers work and how to admin / maintain them,
as well as what bots are available and how to use them
If your interested in joining our team, send me a PM
(I wont be responding to any comments asking for me to PM you, i will answer basic questions on comments)
Ill try to reply back asap, but it could take a few hours due to work and such
Be prepared to answer some basic questions or do a test or two before being invited to join the team
Note: I am based in New Zealand, which is where the server is hosted as well
So +12 timezone, however feel free to apply from any timezone, just keep the times in mind when messaging me
im starting a small network server
(minigames, survival, creative, rpg, and so on)
and im looking for people who want to help run it
Staff, mods, Content creators (youtube / twitch) gamers, and so on
I have a video up with these details as well
To apply to be a part of the server please send the following information to [email protected]
Name: (real name or username is fine)
Age:
Country:
How long you have been playing Minecraft: (Login to https://account.mojang.com/me and send a screenshot of your join date and profile name)
What role you want to apply for: (Currently no set roles, so make up a name if you want)
Experience in that role: (Screenshots, build downloads, links etc)
Why you want to join:
Any other info you think is important.
Feel free to be creative on your email as well. build something in game, make a video, write a poem.
theres no rules on how to apply, so long as you provide the info required.
Iv been using the region method, but it is a bit tedious haha
Id also do the nether method, but my last render took 40 something hours to process (my world is about 190GB and growing)
so rendering the nether would take another 2 days or so
firstly sorry if this is in the wrong location, the tools group seems to be more for posting your tools then getting help
I have a free play server (survival, no goals etc) and I have had a few players go out super far in the nether, then jump back into the overworld to make their base
I have a map which i render just for my personal use to see how far players are going and see what they are up to
The problem is when I render my map, i have big areas of no chunks (as expected) so its a little hard to find if there are bases further out
Im not sure if im able to keep scrolling out by dragging the screen to infinite, or if there is just a base way out that way which im never going to be able to find by just mouse searching
Is there a way to indicate or find, if there is more chunks rendered off screen, either in a given direction or some script i can run which would help with this?
And yes I have already post on the overviewer forums as well, just spreading my hunt to see if anyone else has any ideas as their community is alot smaller and not as fast as replying
im doing some stat tracking on my server, where each week a script i has pulls the stats from all the players, and puts them in a database
(well thats the plan)
The problem i have at teh moment is i also want to track 0 stats
EG if no one drops a dragon egg, the stats doesnt show 0, it just has no stat
Thats fine for most situations, but i want to track the history so i want a 0 stat shown in the database (to make my generation of charts easier i dont have to do checks for dates with missing values)
Is there a list somewhere of every single stat which can be put into the stats file?
My backup plan is to make some sort of checker algorithm to check if that stat has been tracked before, and if not then go back and re-create the history, but that makes it a little more complicated.
Problem was it generates the config file based on the render
so if i render one map, then render the next, the config file only shows that second render
What iv resorted to doing is doing individual renders, the manually adding the configs together, which seems to be working okay
This sounds like a specialized enough question that you might be better of seeing if this Overviewer program has a forum or something and asking there as well. There might not be very many Overviewer users here, I could be wrong but I've never heard of it.
Good luck!
Iv asked in a few places, they dont have a forum as such, just github issue tracking
I have a world which has been slowly growing over time and I have been getting weekly saves of the world to do some timelapse style work using overviewer and screenshotting it
the problem is my world is now 50GB big, and still growing
If I was to put all the world downloads into one folder for overviewer to take and convert into a single webpage (where you can pick the date you want to view) the world folder would be around 250-300GB big, and each week it would at at least another 50GB if not more as the world grows
Is there a way to take a map, render it, delete the world data, add a new world and add to the original map without deleting anything that was rendered before?
I hope im making sense, and can try send some screenshots of what im talking about if it helps explain it more
Hi everyone.
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, so admin feel free to move is there is a better category.
My wife designed her own fantasy world a while ago. and I'm keen to try build it in Minecraft.
The problem is, the world is massive. One of the smaller islands is 13,000 blocks square.
(Screenshot attached)
So rather than spending ages trying to find a good seed, or manually shaping the landscape.
Im looking for someone who is good with tools such as world painter, mcedit, and other ones I dont know about.
It would be a slow, long term project, but the end goal would be a massive RPG style map.
Get in touch if you may be interested in helping out.
Myself and a friend are looking at making a RPG Map and we're looking for a team of builders who would be keen to help out.
the theme is Fantasy Medieval so you must be able to work to that.
There will be castles, villages, ruins, farms, etc.
If you have friends who you build with and want to apply as a team thats perfectly fine.
To apply we need the following information
Name:
MC name:
Age:
Location:
Build Experience:
What you can bring to the team:
And ideally a screenshot or video of some of your builds.

No that I can see, not a problem that i think they have come across much if at all as im using it for a very odd scenario which most people dont do
