posted a message on Minecraft Withdrawals?
So what was your longest Minecraft withdrawal? As in how long did you go without playing Minecraft? If you want, put a reason why.

Mine was around 4 months simply because my friend's server shut down. Servers were the source of my Minecraft fun. And I was too lazy to join another one since it wouldn't be the same.

posted a message on My Minecraft Career
So I decided to autobiograph a summary of my Minecraft career. I know some of you can relate to this. So here goes:

"I miss when Minecraft was simple. When the only complicated thing was redstone. When I was the most addicted person in the world. When all I ever talked about was Minecraft. Good 'ole Alpha days. At least I influenced a lot of people to play it. Then came Beta. The new features kept me hyped. Every day, I would go and look at Notch's Twitter and The Word of Notch and everything in between just to get a glimpse of what was to come. I became excited for Minecraft. Then came the Adventure Update. After that, I realized Minecraft became more and more complicated. There were goals. I didn't want goals. I wanted to make the goals myself. After that, I became less and less addicted to Minecraft where it came to the point where I would play Minecraft only twice a week and check Notch's updates sparingly. Then came the upcoming release of Minecraft 1.0. I became hooked again! But, was it to join the bandwagon of everyone playing it? Or was I only trying to hide my disappointment of its development? For a while after the release of 1.0, I realized that what I was playing was not the old Minecraft I was used to playing, but a newer, more developed game that just wasn't the same to me anymore. I began losing interest in playing the game. I became lazy. I couldn't keep up with all of these features. I just couldn't. It was all too much for me. Sure I went on a few servers here and there, but it was never the same. I tried to play in the simple way I used to, but the new features keep interfering with me. Sure bringing back snowfall from Alpha brought back nostalgia, but how could I dwell on that alone? I don't want to download an earlier version for the sake of playing Alpha again, it's too much effort. Effort. That's when I realized that Minecraft isn't just a game about punching trees and searching for diamonds anymore. No. It was more. It was more than what I could have imagined. I was given goals, but those goals didn't mean the end of the game. No. I once again realized that Minecraft was a game where I had to make my own goals. Notch wanted me to play the game the way I wanted to play it. I remembered what the game was all about. All I needed was a little effort. Up until the point pf typing this did I realize this now. Minecraft is Minecraft and it always has been. It's been the same game that I've been playing since I first played it in Alpha. All I need to do now is click on my Minecraft shortcut and start playing. Here we go. New World."

posted a message on How would skins works on Minecraft XBLA
Quote from Rock N Roll Pyro

How should skins work on Minecraft XBLA version. Should it be that we connect to our minecraft.net accounts and we have our skins on there, and we just change skins by logging in minecraft.net and upload it? What you guys think?

Sounds like a very possible idea to connect minecraft.net accounts. Notch may answer that for you.

I have the same problem, except that it doesn't crash, it just exits randomly. You probably have to update Java, I haven't done that yet.
